Thanks. I just hit up a local shop near me to see if they can do it. I assume if there's a template then it's just a matter of them cutting it. I may take you up on that offer if they come back with some crazy price or have no idea.
they should have access to it in the design view.

I think you got a really good hook up. I'm not sure if you know how expensive a roll of this stuff is, but XPEL sells it for $75 on their website and that's just the precut film. Not everyone has access to a shop, or thinks its worth the time leaving their car at a wrapper to cut and install it to save $35. I don't think $60 including shipping for a whole DIY kit is that bad, but to each their own, i see guys sticking $4 trim to their cars to stop wind buffeting.
Yes I know the price of XPEL and I would say now a days there are tons of tint shops and PPF shops around that would be able to do a screen protector cut for most while they are getting work done. I donā€™t think a shop would need to keep your car to install a screen protector. To be fair if they did I probably wouldnā€™t go to that shop either. As it shouldnā€™t take more than 10-15 mins to install. Also your comment around amazon wind buffeting fix for under $10 is slightly different. $10 fix from amazon vs a $150-$300 part from Verus or AMS is a huge cost savings vs a major brand.

If ebay vendor is going to try and sell a screen protector for $60 vs MSRP Of Xpel of $75. The difference is around 22%. Not as much of a discount vs going from 150-300 to $10.

Finally someone that understands
Well, I mean itā€™s slightly bigger than a 4 runner screen but the 4 runner runs like $15-$20. Even the Apple I PAD screen protectors arenā€™t $60-$70. I know people got to make money but geeze.... thatā€™s a straight rip off.

Its called the Supra tax. That's why i said for $25 at a PPF and Tint shop its fine. But anything more is just ridiculous. There is making a profit and just ripping people off of their hard earned money.

Sorry guys. All business make profit. Thereā€™s work put into these things besides just cutting a piece of film. Again, paying $25 for xpel ppf is a ridiculous hookup. Xpel themselves sell it for $75. I hardly think that a cheaper option than the manufacturer is a supra tax. You buy what you want. Some people buy quality products and some people buy the cheapest stuff they can just because it works.

Issue isn't with profit, the issue is with pricing which seems high. Lets for debating say a 24" roll of XPEL PPF runs $500. we all know the main profit of PPF and tinting is in the labor not all in the material. Most of us that have had our cars PPF, ceramic or tinted are OK to spend that money as a quality installer isn't cheap and a cheap installer isn't always good. But our screens are 9" so you can make 2 across at worst case this will take up lets say 7 inches down so you can have room to cut apart and transfer over. By my horrible estimation make at least 300 screen protectors just from a 100 ft roll. Selling each at $60 makes your $18k from your $500 investment of film. I wont take into account your time it took to design and measure and put it into a plotter for cutting, shipping and advertising. But your pricing in what you consider below market vs what others may pay as a hookup price being ridiculous is all based on perception.

itā€™s a screen protector. We arenā€™t talking about a turbo setup or wheels here. I donā€™t mind paying money for nice quality stuff. But itā€™s a SCREEN Protector. Not some Volks....

This will be my last post about this, but you arenā€™t taking into consideration many other costs such as the cutting machine, shipping, box, accessories in the package and your estimation of the price of the film is at least half of the actual cost. Enjoy your cars however you like.

I don't think I've ever touched my infotainment screen...I use the large round controller knob in the center console to navigate through all the menu options and make selections which I find easier to use and much safer while driving...

I do find all the bickering about cost amusing...If you think the cost is high don't purchase it and simply move on....

FWIW, I sell the for $45 for the Supra.

My wife wanted one for her car. I thought $75 was crazy. I felt like $45 with tracking and insurance in case it got creased was fair considering priority shipping, packaging and installation products arenā€™t exactly cheap.

I make them for a few vehicles and the supra is least profitable TBH. I sell them because of how many customers i have from the tuning portion.

The ebay listing guy actually saw mine and then decided to list his. Even tagged me on his Facebook post when listing them saying he knew i made them, but, hereā€™s his. lol.

I think Mr. MKV might be him? His name was Ben i believe.

I purchased from the eBay listing. $50 shipped including the Xpel stealth film, soft squeegee, spray bottle of application fluid, instructions, and a microfiber towel. Very satisfied and the install came out perfectly, 10/10 definitely worth it if for no other reason than to get rid of the annoying glare.

I definitely understand the Supra tax. LOL. I come from the Lamborghini world where the ā€œtaxā€ is very real - I recently paid over $300 for two short red silicon intake tubes. Because no one else made them, the vendor could charge what they wanted. I wanted them to dress up my engine bay, so, begrudgingly paid the price.

This is a free country. You can choose who you want to purchase from. But... remember this. Without profit, companies (especially innovative, small businesses) will cease to exist. Support them.
