Yeah I've looked every year and everything is sketchy as hell, unless it's like a 2016 and upI agree, really hard to gauge how it was used and maintained at that point. What service records? lol

What about a C63 coupe?I'm still in the market and thinking of these cars not in any specific order:
'20+ Civic Type R
'14+ GTR
'21+ Supra
'21+ TLX-S
Yes mate and hoping to contribute to this great community now.Where you on the Focus RS forums?
Not a fan of the looks. What about a C63 coupe?
I just inquired about a 2013 with 44k miles, asking $69k but has had 4 owners and it's at a dealership so no service history other than what's shown on carfax. I would love to have a GTR but can't stomach a car that expensive and no warranty. But as you've said, if you were to mod the Supra your warranty would be void so might not matter in that instance. I just cant personally spend $70k on a car anyways, let alone one without a warranty.Hey guys - this thread caught my eye. I've had my 2021 Supra reserved for several months now - still waiting for it to arrive. The GTR has always been a dream car to me, but so has the Supra. I've done some cross shopping as a result (wife didn't let me know she would be ok with a GTR until after the deposit was on the Supra). I've seen a few 1-2 owner GTRs on the market (2014-2016 MY) with less than 20k miles and well maintained by some older, responsible seeming guys. The cars I've been looking at are also stock. Prices are less than $70k. Curious to see if those numbers would change your opinions?
Still love the Supra, and still excited to get it, but I do also wish it had a little more drama to it. Can always mod it with bolt-ons, but then your warranty is likely shot.
If you were interested in that 2013, I found a 2014 with 13k miles (single owner, appears very well maintained) that I could send you a link for. I think they had it listed at 75k but reckon they'd maybe take 70k given the market. I think I would feel much better about passing on a Supra if I could get the 2017 GTR that has a decent interior upgrade. Harder for me to do it for an older car. Completely agree with you. Even the money on the Supra makes me a little nauseated.I just inquired about a 2013 with 44k miles, asking $69k but has had 4 owners and it's at a dealership so no service history other than what's shown on carfax. I appreciate it but just out of my league. A 2017 would be great but definitely out of my budget. If you were interested in that 2013, I found a 2014 with 13k miles (single owner, appears very well maintained) that I could send you a link for. I hear you. Really out of mine as wellI appreciate it but just out of my league. A 2017 would be great but definitely out of my budget.
Went and looked at a RS3 last night. Way to small for a 4 door car. I'm only 5'10" and my head was hitting the roof sitting in the rear seat and knees hitting the seat in front of me. I know the Supra is only a two seater but that's okay, it is what it is, it doesn't try to be anything else. If I had a 4 door car I would want it to be able to fit 4 adults. The rs3 would probably work if a person just had a couple younger kids to haul around. Checked that one off the list as it was an option that kept coming up.
Audi RS3 / TTRS , Merc A45s(AWD) and even the Focus RS(AWD) have this transverse mounted engine fwd bias heavy front end.I can appreciate the RS3, but I feel like Audi's seem kind of soulless to me. Not bad cars, but I feel like I'm drawn to cars with heritage. Loved getting to look at the Shelby GT350, Supra, and GTR. These cars just ooze history to me.

I can completely see your points. I didn't get to drive the car so I didn't get a feel for it but do understand how the engine layout really affects the driving feel. I had looked at and drove a Golf R a month ago and while it was fun, it didn't wow me and I'm sure you would get used to the car very quick and start dumping money into mods when you could of just went with something else from the get go.Audi RS3 / TTRS , Merc A45s(AWD) and even the Focus RS(AWD) have this transverse mounted engine fwd bias heavy front end.
It's a rather anemic drive feel with these cars especially considering the steering has also got to put down the huge power resulting in the much frowned torque steer.
After driving the Supra I doubt I would ever go back to these hatchbacks even if they had 450+HP.
