Reverse light into 4th Brake light?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew of any aftermarket company that is planning on turning the reverse light into a 4th brake light as well?

It would be awesome to have the red light on with the parking lights then illuminate brighter when the brakes are applied.

Working on it already.

This actually is one of the few parts that does not have a BMW logo on it. The rear light is produced by Hella but stamped Toyota.

Look into getting the European light, the outer line is reverse and the central section is a red fog light which can likely be easily turned into a brake light too.

I was looking for information or a working light with this feature but I could not find any info, Here are some photos of the light. the inside has a "wall" or divider in it if one part was reverse or one-part fog

Wait, on the US car is the lower centre rear light ONLY reverse?

Yes - What is yours? fog? not brake tho?

Wish it could be red intermittent like the F1 cars, anybody figured this out?

I suspect that is the actual OEM light from the car (same one that would be in yours). The EU spec cars probably get a different electronic control board that has red LEDs in the 'inner' part and wiring to support the 'fog light'. NA models likely get a control board with all white LEDs and wiring for reverse light only.

If you want to retrofit this to an NA car, you would have to buy the EU part and figure out how to wire it

Anyone that could help? I wish I could get that part number, been trying without any luck and I'm bilingual

Hi Guys !!
Someone please throw me a life raft, Ive tried many approaches to this mod, I have the EU part, to my surprise both have 2 male plugs sticking out of the light housing. While my car (US) have only one female plug withing that llug housing.

I was given lary number 82183-WAA01 S for the US harness, I also tried giving the new EU light 12 volts on both male plugs and didt triggered any lights, I have a feeling this might have a dedicated module that is combined/paired with its proprietary light US/EU, HUH frustrating to say the least, I want to see it installed asap, HAS ANYONE SUCCEEDED WITH THIS MOD?

I would love this mod....hopefully a company is working on an easy plus and play feature
