Hows it going guys, I just bought a 2020 Supra, and I currently only have 320 miles on it. Ive been looking into Bootmod3 tuning (stage 1). How is this tune? Reliable? safe? worth it?. I like how i can pretty much customize the settings with burble and such, but I want it to be safe, yet fast. I was gonna do a protune but I was thinking bootmod3 has done some development on this tune for awhile... What do you guys think?

So many existing articles. Please use search.

ProTune, JB4 are piggyback while BM3, EcuTek, MHD are ECU flash tunes.
W/ piggy chances are you won't void warranty. Other's you likely will.

All are safe & reliable, unless you go with a super unknown company and/or tuner. More power usually means less engine life.
They're worth it if you want increase in power, noise, customization in power delivery and worth more and Needed, if you're going to go bigger turbo, meth, etc.

I wouldn't use the word "Some Development" for BM3. They have many cars in their portfolio and always add newer ones. They have few off the shelf tunes available and hasn't seen too many updates to Supra since v1.2. I'm not bad mouthing them, I have BM3. What I'm saying is, right now I doubt BM3 has anyone dedicated to A90 Supra, neither does MHD. (I may be wrong...)

However, this is what you'll get from OTS (off-the-shelf) products anyhow. If you want further customization then you'd have to get a custom tune from a reliable source, whether it's BM3, MHD, EcuTek or Titan ProTune.... If you find a retarded tuner, they can even blow up your engine with any of these :D

All ECU flash options, at this point, offer burble and other easily changeable settings. BM3, MHD are way cheaper than EcuTek.
We have sponsors on the forum that offer MHD custom tunes as well as EcuTek. Again I may be wrong, but I haven't come across anyone claiming they have custom BM3 tunes, but there are many websites that do and you can request custom tunes within BM3 software itself.

If you're not going to edit tables yourself and won't reach out to tuners to get custom tunes (if you'll stay with basic mods, you pretty much don't have any reason to get custom, as BM3 Stage 2 or MHD Stage 2, offers downpipe as well), you can say within OTS maps.

Now, there is on-the-fly map switching availability on some already and some coming..

Hi, actually I have a license, I can sell it to you at a discount, I no longer need it, DM me if you are interested.

As for the question, the OTS maps from BM3 are good, the problem I had was the bad CA gas we have, so the OTS tune from BM3 was pulling time, but then they released a new map for the bad gas of CA and AZ, and that map worked great, actually. I just wanted to have a custom tune and be able to support flex fuel, so I moved to Ecutek.
