Will just make it that much more exciting.
Toyota, if anything, is worse at making production ready looking cars then never releasing them. Just look at the SFR
I believe Tada san said it takes 5 years to bring a sport car into production, so there still is time.

You think it's different? Maybe just less camo?
Yes, not only the front bumper, but the rear bumpers are different as well. The M sport model has air vents on the side of the rear bumper. Other differences is the exhaust tips. The base model has round tips, whereas the M sport has square looking ones.

I also wonder if Toyota will have different bumpers for base and top tier models?

Those brake discs really fill up the wheels.

Development continues on the much-anticipated replacement for the BMW Z4, and a new batch of spy photos catches two flavors of them under development together. The curvaceous shape looks svelte regardless of which parts are on the body.

These Z4s feature two different takes on the roadster's front fascia. One model (left) features a prominent black air dam that pokes out from the nose. All of the mesh in the inlets is also black. The other example (right) has a less aggressive look with a smaller intake in the center. Conversely, there are polished details for the grilles on this one.

In profile, these Z4s wear impressively large brake discs that fill the entire open area of the wheels. The calipers don't appear too large, but this combo should provide plenty of stopping ability.

Like the front, these two cars have different details at the rear. In the photo above, the Z4 in the foreground has two trapezoidal exhaust tips and a subtle diffuser between them. The other roadster wears a pair of circular outlets and has a smooth area in between. Otherwise, the vehicles appear to be the same.

Rumors point to multiple engine options for the Z4. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder would produce 180 horsepower (134 kilowatts) in the base s20i model, and the output would grow to 250 hp (186 kW) in the s30i. The M40i would use a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 335 hp (250 kW), and a range-topping Competition Package would allegedly push the power to 385 hp (287 kW).

The latest rumors suggest the new Toyota Supra, which shares a platform with the Z4, would debut first at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Bimmer would premiere later but before the end of the year.

^ The rotors are really not that massive - they only look huge here because of the relatively small winter wheels on these cars. Note the fairly high-profile rubber. That said, the rotors look more than adequate for a 3000 lb car.

It's funny how 17s look so small these days, now that even family sedans with a "sports" package or trim level of some type are shipping with 19s and even 20s in a few cases.

The Z4 will be at the Paris Motor Show later in the year, too.

Tantalizing rumors of the new BMW Z4 premiering at the Geneva Motor Show appear to have been inaccurate. Now, the much-anticipated roadster will allegedly premiere at a dedicated event this summer, according to Automotive News Europe.

"The new car will be shown at the Paris motor show, too, but currently the plan is to show it at its own dedicated event before then," an unnamed source from BMW told Automotive News Europe.

The Z4's platform-mate, the new Toyota Supra, will be at Geneva, though. The Japanese brand will show a race-ready concept version of the upcoming model at the show. While not as intriguing as seeing it in full production form, the display marks the first time for Toyota to exhibit the vehicle officially.

In addition to using the same platform, leaked info suggests that the Z4 and Supra share some engine choices, too. The less powerful mill is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 180 horsepower (134 kilowatts) in the base s20i model and 250 hp (186 kW) in the s30i in the BMW. The M40i would have a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 335 hp (250 kW), and an optional Competition Package reportedly pushes the output to 385 hp (287 kW). There are no plans for a full M variant at the moment. Later, a range-topping Supra would allegedly have a turbocharged and hybrid powerplantfrom the company's Toyota Gazoo Racing motorsport division.

Production of the Z4 and Supra will begin later this year at Magna Steyr's factory in Austria. The first examples could be in dealers before the end of the year.

BMW will still have a new performance car concept in Switzerland because the German brand will debut the M8 Gran Coupe there. The long, low-slung sedan looks sexy in teaser images.
