I created this thread and I know there are many threads like this about various issues. This is my experience. I did not document the fix and issues but happy to help those that are nervous and having the same issues as I am having.

I have got the car to be 95% perfect. In fact on a typical 300Km drive on various surfaces B roads and freeways with Course chip and plenty of lumps and bumps I have near to zero noises from having a creak or rattle on any surface.

Also the sound system sounds so much better as well, so I will try explain the fixes that I did with that.

I also want to say - I am not good mechanically and by no means an expert in this. Although with all my cars I have had some minor issues with interior quality. This one is the worse. If it were a BMW it would not be perfect but Toyota has definitely made it worse in the dashboard and trim designs.

They say its a BMW interior - no it uses BMW switches and screens buttons etc with Toyota trim parts - I wish it had a BMW interior.

Take all the panels off strip it bear. apply sound deadener on all metal surfaces that seems hollow when you tap on it.
Everything comes apart really easily. Make sure that you buy some spare clips as I broke a few.

I got some speaker wadding material and shoved it in all the open spaces to dull any vibration and sounds.
I applied thin 6mm foam tape on the inside of all the plastic parts and clips.

The large centre mount carpeted piece that sits over the two woofers was removed and on the underside I applied sound deadening foam material as well as foam tape over the metal clips that secure it as these metal clips creak when locked into the plastic counterparts. I sound deadened the woofer plastic boxes and placed speaker wadding in the metal tube below it to deaden the reflective sounds. The lower plastic carpeted portion also had some sound deadening and foam tape over the metal clips before it was reinserted. Some have made ports to release the pressure and claim to improve the sound dramatically. i did this originally with a piece of foam to experiment, however I prefer the way it sounds now without any rattles and OEM. I can turn the volume to max and the only equaliser setting change is the bass is maybe +2 the sound system is superb at any volume, its clear, low deep and tight bass without any distortion whatsoever.

I purchased self adhesive thick rubber padding and stuck it on top of the woofer housing before refitting the top moulded carpet piece this seals the sound and diverts it out the top. There was a poorly flattened sponge used by the manufacturer not creating a proper seal.

Popping off the doors is a piece of cake. Yes i had the door pin rattle. i placed sound deadener on the various portions of the door inner side of the door panel and some thick sticky sponge behind the door pin rod. I stiffened the speaker housing and used more sealant rubber tape around there. the doors feel more solid and have zero noise.

I also removed the aluminium brace and filled it with foam before re-securing it.

Now the centre console and Dash board. If I push on the fake carbon fibre used on the centre console it creaks the black plastic on the side of the console creaks and the soft rubber dash piece running along the centre with the 8button custom buttons creaks when you push on it. This part makes me nervous. I wonder if anyone has taken all this apart. I have not touched it yet?

Anyone taken this apart and can prompt me in the right direction? I a have a feeling it uses the same metal clips arrangement that the rear section uses and it just needs some foam tape over the metal parts.

Mine creaks when going over uneven surfaces otherwise it doesn't really make a noise when driving. But if I can perfect it I prefer to do so.

Sorry I do not have detailed pictures of the entire job. When doing it I did not even know if it would work but sofar everything Ive done was worth it and is now 100% fixed.

I would be happy to help anyone and guide them, but was hoping someone can please write or explain how to take the centre console and front dash piece apart?

Passenger side seat control doesn't work. BMW can't seem to send the right replacement part to Toyota to fix it. This has been going on for over a month now.

Just an update on my centre console stripping.

For those having creaks in the centre console when you push down on the carbon fibre or the plastic black piece on the drivers side area creaks. I found mine creaked when the car twists over bumps. It was a 20min job. I removed the panels and aircon unit. It came apart so easily.
I sound deadened the aircon housing (maybe wasn't necessary)
I applied foam tape where the plastic pieces butt together.

There is now ZERO creaks at all you can push as hard as you like on any of the panels and its solid.

and boy what a difference when you drive it just all feels solid now.

Man, i applaud your OCD dedication. Not a dig. You really are detail oriented. I'm the guy who just turns the stereo up lol
carry on

Yes its hard work having OCD with cars. I've sold cars because of rattles that I could not fix. I cant always drive with the sound system turned up, sometimes I like to just hear the engine purr. I still think the Supra's interior for its price could have been better designed and for less or equivalent cost, simple techniques could be used to improve the quality. I reckon cut cost in unnecessary panels and clips..it just amazes me how stupid some of these engineers are. I am not an expert and I can see it a mile away.

I wish I could be the guy that just turns up the stereo, my life would be so much simpler and more chilled.

Hey "when you turn up the bass are you not hearing the massive amount of vibration from the subs in the rear?" surely that shits you?

The design is simply dumb and shows Toyota's lack of care in their product. Its like the wind buffeting that they didn't bother fixing in the new A91. Did they even test the car. Says a lot about the company and their arrogance. This car was supposed to be their "legendary comeback sports car"

I was dumbfounded when Toyota loaned me a Supra last week while my Navigation was being fixed (another story) this loan car had all the same issues that mine had. I get sometimes manufacturing doesn't always go to plan but these are simple design flaws that could have easily be fixed and should have be rectified.

anyway enough ranting. I'll take my meds now

Coming from a long string of BMW’s I get the quality sniggles. But all the important stuff is a+
Plus, I’m used to having an amazing engineered German master piece and then have .20 worth of plastic in the cabin start peeling.

or my M3 and all it’s German rocket engineering and then a .50 gasket leaks on the oil filter housing
