Thanks, please let us know the outcome, hopefully it is something simple
I will and hopefully I donā€™t have to call a tow. If itā€™s the turbo. Thatā€™s just one excuse to go big turbo

Im thinking it could be a couple of things. Bad o2 sensor. Making it run rich. Head gasket. Wastegate actuator could be loose. Blown turbo. I took of my oil cap from the top and there was some slight smoke as well
Hmm I should check that... you tuned as well?

Same. Wonder if thatā€™s any cause for the turbo to be going out. I doubt its the head gasket.
So I just ran the codes. I will say before this trouble I had a O2 spacer and recently removed it. Idk if that may have affected anything. But here are the codes

I have the same issue, but I have a Pure 800. Did you end up figuring anything out?

I ended up buying the pure 800. Just waiting for delivery. Also went with better oil and racing plugs. Bought a forge catch can as well. Did you examine your turbo? How bad is the smoke ?

I havenā€™t taken a look at it yet, but Iā€™m almost certain Iā€™ll find oil in the chargepipe.

the smoke is quite bad for like 1-2 seconds and then vanishes at idle

Ahh gotcha. Yea mine was pretty bad. Never stops smoking. Will installing this weekend. Couple questions... did you prime your new pure turbo before turning the car on? And did you experience loss of power?(no boost)

The turbo was already on another car for a few hundred miles before I installed it, so I'm hoping it was primed before he did anything with it. I'm sure it was since a reputable shop did the work.

No other symptoms besides the smoke. Car rips immediately after it happening.

This seems to be exactly what I'm experiencing, but how the heck could my VGC need replacement at 6k miles??

Gotcha. You could also take the intake off and check your turbine for shaft play. Do you happen to have a mishimoto catch can.?...I hear these cans tend to cause smoke as well

Yeah I highly doubt there's any shaft play (knock on wood). The turbo isn't even close to being maxed out. But I can check on it anyway.

No catchcan. I was perusing that thread to see if there's any other common denominator there could be since I'm having a similar issue.

I have a feeling it's just blowby since the Pure800 deletes a part of the PCV system. It's just freaking me out since it's so much smoke at times.

Gotcha. Thereā€™s a a new catch can on the market that may help with the blow by. Everyone recommended me a catch can for pure 800 since we push way more power. I just bought a catch can from forge.
