Welcome!

"discovered" that there are storage pockets on the seat backs. I don't recall that mentioned
in the owner's manual...Very useful.
I had to go out and see for myself. They're nice and deep. Only bummer is that the power seats makes it a slight inconvenience to access them (no quick fold-down as far as I can tell, unlike 2+2 coupes), but we have memory (driver) seats, so I guess it isn't too bad.

I think that the idea is that driver and passenger can reach behind each other's seats. I find that ok. Only bummer is that you cant reach behind yourself while seated....Well, can't have everything, otherwise it'd be a Mercedes, forbid the thought.

Ok, so I received the OBD II reader. I had chosen to get the vgate vLinker MC Bluetooth OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner for Android and Windows thru Amazon. Cost was $44.99. I had read good reports on it.

I had previously downloaded the Bimmercode free app and upgraded it to the full version, cost said to be $30 but mine cost
about $45.

I followed the instructions to the letter, both from the included instructions and from the coding made easy (paraphrase) posting in this forum.

The car ha to be shut down and all media disconnected. 3 quick stabs to the start button put the Supra into diagnostic mode.

I had the most trouble with the BT connection with the car. Eventually I figured it out : there is a button on the OBD that has to be kept depressed to establish a connection. Next was
to open the Bimmercode app and identify the reader. Once the proper one was selected, a beautiful menu opened with lots of
options.

First was to shut down the enhanced engine noise in the cabin. Next was to activate the memory on the Auto start/stop
so that the car would remember the last setting. you have to hit the "code" button on the app to make the change permanent.

Took it out, stopped, restarted and it remembered the defeated auto start/stop. Great! Then the sound system sounded much better than before, not having the engine sound distortion any longer.

I am pleased with the relative ease of these upgrades...There were many more option on what to modify but they can wait a while.

Highly recommend these easy mods that are relatively inexpensive.

Not a use case I would have thought of, but fair enough. Just happy that there's another storage option.

Everything you've mentioned is on my list of to-do's. Pretty cool that there was a significant improvement in audio quality when you shut off the synthetic engine noises. I'm doubtful, but I wonder if it will help the poor FM radio quality/reception. Could just be my car (or I'm the only one who still listens to FM radio), but I can't get the same local radio stations in the Supra that I can get in my other cars.

I cycle through a few stations, but I primarily listen to Alt 92.3.

What's cool is that you can hover your finger over your saved stations (the physical enumerated buttons) and see what's playing before selecting it. Most people would probably use the HUD (or touchscreen or multimedia knob), I guess, but I thought this was a nice touch.

sure but I opted to use 5 and up to store menu items like driver
profiles etc...saves from having to cycle through the various menus and gives direct access.

You can do that?

I really need to study the owner's manual... Thanks for the tip!

Well, there are similarities and differences, mainly in driving philosophies, but it is still
too early for me to have strong opinions. I am still, after 24 days, making friends with the
Supra, trying to understand how it reacts to my inputs. One thing I have already concluded
is that the Supra likes a gentler hand in guiding it whereas the P-cars required a rather
firm approach.

My acclimatization is going well, though, as I am getting more confident with the new car.
It never ceases to amaze me that automotive journalists can make definitive comments
and have strong opinions on a car after a mere few hours of driving time. It typically requires
about one month for me.

I will report after the one month period has gone. It should be interesting to say the least.

Hello everyone!

Very excited to join the community. Recently bought my 2021 Supra (3.0, Premium). It replaces my previous 2020 Charger Scat Pack as a "fair-weather" daily driver (will switch off with my 2019 Grand Cherokee SRT). Planning on using this car on the track as well, as my Charger did 8 events last year (and destroyed 3 sets of brakes in the process). Will be doing plenty of research on how to modify this car for track use as well, so I am looking forward to learning from the insights of those active on this forum!

Attached 3 photos for now!
