Did the install in my garage using some homemade ramps and some floor jacks at the end to get more leverage on refitting the exhaust and downpipe connection . Overall not too bad but some parts were definitely a pain in the ass with out a lift . Going to have a exhaust fabbed up Monday at a shop and will have more updates then . For now hereā€™s some pics

Ah I need to do that soon too. Did the strut brace need a specific torque, or you just felt it out?

Just felt it out as I gotta remove it again in a couple days to do the charge pipe. Love the sound though even with stock exhaust . Canā€™t wait to hear it with the exhaust done

are you planning on getting a tune after these are installed?

I picked up my 21 A91 friday and wanted to do intake, downpipe and exhaust but the tuning issues with the ECU have me second guessing that approach. I am also 35 and dont want the car to be TOO loud. Aggressive is fine, but i am not 25 anymore lol.

Yea Iā€™m getting a tune this weekend at soho. You definitely will get a cel if you go catless downpipe. And also check you cars build date inside your door anything 7/20 and on is still locked . Anything before you should be able to tune. I will tell you my exhaust is insanely loud . Driving through my town at 25-30 when I down shift the pops and bangs have caused some outside diners to literally jump like they are gun shots. I also have straight pipe exhaust with the catless downpipe and Intake . If looking for just upgraded sound Iā€™d suggest a catted downpipe and exhaust system that has mufflers. You should however get a OBDLink Mx+ and the bimmercode app and turn off the active sound . Half the noise you hear is fake exhaust notes being played through the speakers . Once I shut mine off I knew I needed exhaust . I have a exhaust thread on here as well if you want to hear what it sounds like . Canā€™t really pick up the full audio on a cellphone camera and mic but youā€™ll get a rough idea

I am planning on the titan downpipe with Akrapovic exhaust and Ecutek tune. From my understanding this setup is more docile than the other exhaust sytems.

I have the titan catless downpipe , and got a cel about 30 mins after driving with it on stock exhaust before I had my straight system fabbed up . Didnā€™t bother me since I was getting tuned as well . Should be getting done this weekend soho sent me the cable to confirm it could be unlocked since my 21 is close to the non tuneable date

Did you have to remove the entire exhaust doing it this way?

Nope all I did was loosen the first hanger mount and slide it back a couple of inches . Just took some muscling it around to get it off . Definitely wasnā€™t the easiest thing to do with out a lift

Can you explain this lag a bit more ? Possibly sounds like you have a leak somewhere . Possibly where the connector attaches to the turbo ? Or maybe something else . When I installed mine I noticed more throttle response and overall sound improvement. I only had mine on with out a tune for a couple days though so canā€™t remember too well

Itā€™s not a lag the throttle response is way better with the intake I mean only when downshifting with the shifter paddles it seems like a bit of lag or its just me lol

Ahhh I gotcha . Have you drove something like a smgII prior . It definitely isnā€™t as quick as my R8 or previous M cars with the shifting
