1999 Miata (turbo build). Soon to be 2020 LE Supra being purchased for a manual-swap project.
I think the new Z looks good, but a little underwhelming after the teaser pics.

I much prefer the I6 in the Supra over the V6tt in the Z. It's smoother, sounds better, and will be able to make more power in the aftermarket.

The biggest thing the new Z has going for it is the manual transmission, which will definitely steal buyers away from the Supra. The ball is in Toyota's court now, they must deliver a manual Supra before the Z comes out.
You're exactly right. Personally, I'm holding onto my money until Toyota releases a manual i6 Supra. If they don't do it in the next few years, then I'll probably breakdown and buy something else :banghead:. Having recently driven a GT350, I'm REALLY tempted to just pull the trigger on one of those, which is funny because I don't normally like American Muscle at all. However, if this Z comes out and offers a great driving experience with a manual, they'll likely get my money. :dunno:

Supra looks much sexier, has the fine lines where the z looks like a cube that had some design mods.

It's the exact same layout as the 370Z. The second cupholder should be inside the center armrest/lid cover.

I'm okay with no cup holder actually. I wish there was a slide cover for it like on my STI/Golf-R.

「This is a Hundred Times Better Than the GR Supra!」Smokey Nagata Gets Excited About the New Fairlady Z Prototype!

Well yeah, if the car is crap (ahem.. I meant not so good like the 370Z) from the factory of course Smokey's going to like it 100x better with lots of room for him to improve the car to bring it to the Supra level. .. or he got dissed by a pretty girl working at GR... I suspect it might be the latter.

So what you are saying is... since 400Z is sharing as "not so good" chasis as 370Z, it's going to another crap? :D

- I might be wrong but I heard 370Z and 400Z is on same chasis". -

Someone on the VW forum said the "new" Z is just getting a small price hike. The current one starts at $30k. If Nissan can manage to keep it in the mid $30s then I might change my vote.

I’d want what that guy was smoking.

STI, Civic Type R, and Golf R start at high 30s. The 300hp Q60 starts at 41k. I highly doubt a twin turbo 400z will be in the 30s, that’s close to impossible.

My assumption is it will be closer to the 2.0L Supra price $40K range.

Q50RS is a $60K+ car.. it starts at around $55K, but with popular add-ons, they're price more like $65K.
