  1. Official ABSOLUTE ZERO WHITE Supra Club Thread

400 miles of mountain thrashing yesterday. Ton of heat in these always surprising PSS tires, approaching brake fade at some points and testing the different traction modes. Full traction control is impressive at keeping you glued but giving power back almost immediately. “Sport traction” needs...
  2. AMS wind deflectors - matching CF mirror caps

For those of you who purchased AMS wind deflectors, the CF weave is a pretty poor match to the OEM CF mirror caps. I’m interested in trying to find a closer option.. all ideas and/or pics are welcome.
  3. Another redundant/repetitive break-in thread (poll), engine health, testing

That video is grossly misrepresentative of: 1: the Corvette and Supra’s launch capabilities. Corvette is still in break in mode in that vid. Plenty of videos showing the supra doing much better than that against the c8. 2: Comparison of the supra and Carrera S. A friend of mine has a 2021...
  4. A91 & Recent 2021 Impossible to Tune / ECU manufactured after 2020/6 is locked?

I got walked by a fiesta yesterday. I look forward to the day we are able to do business.. @Twisted Tuning
  5. Another redundant/repetitive break-in thread (poll), engine health, testing

I disagree, simply being analytical. There are many mechanical engineering theories out there in other industries with no definitive answer on why things are done certain ways. It’s more fun to speculate sometimes... I’m not losing any sleep over it.
  6. Another redundant/repetitive break-in thread (poll), engine health, testing

Thanks for the replies. I am very enthusiastic about the platform and am already enjoying the car plenty. A thought that came last night: Toyota (or BMW for that matter) dealerships have no clue about this break in. I don’t find this surprising, but even regarding the owners manual it isn’t...
  7. Another redundant/repetitive break-in thread (poll), engine health, testing

I’m sure we’ve all read what’s been said here and BMW forums concerning break in procedures for the b58. Lets avoid the “it’s your car, your warranty” rabbit hole. Surely we have a great engine, but the “Germans know best” argument is dependent on what part of history you’re looking at... I’d...
  8. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

    Greenville/Spartanburg? Same here.
  9. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

Sounds like we have a group building. I’ll update the original post soon with a poll for some dates. Highest voted date wins and I’ll make some reservations at Fontana. Some things to consider: -If you’re running E85 you’re out of luck up there for fuel. -Expect significant tire wear even if...
  10. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Received my car back this weekend and gave it a good 300 miles of break in through the mountains. Learning the dynamics of the platform little by little while keeping it below the nanny 4500rpm. The 21 definitely is more composed through corners than the 20 I drove at the expense of some under...
  11. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

It’s incredible.. but exhausting. You won’t want to do it more than 3-4 times in a day. The surrounding roads are really great too and I almost prefer them. The speed limit on the dragon is 25mph and if you can actually do 25mph around some of those corners you’re nuts.
  12. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

I’m thinking May. We’ll find a weekend that other certain forums groups haven’t claimed. Seems like everyone has their “week”... the Z cars, corvettes, Porsche, etc.
  13. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

That’s what I’m talking about. Where are you based if you don’t mind me asking? I have only seen one other mk5 here in SC so far.
  14. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

Good to see you’re close and have experience. There are plenty of great places to drive around it as well. At least this makes two!
  15. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

You had it made. Miata is hard to beat up there. I’ve seen some really incredible drivers leave super cars in the dust with them in that environment. If you ever did get the chance make it down, let me know.
  16. Front Bumper Misaligned to Hood / Fenders

I have read that you can increase/decrease the height of the “bars” or catches that enter the latches as it closes. Helps even out the locked hood position. Are your “catches” on your hood loose? As in, do they rattle when you try to move them back and forth?
  17. Tail of the Dragon/ Moonshiners meet thread

New here and looking to see if anyone is interesting in a TOTD meet up. If you haven’t been before, it (and surrounding roads) are some of the best driving available in the country. I’m about 2 hours away and used to meet forum groups there all the time when I had other cars. If you’re...
  18. PPF Brands

Stek film is drastically better looking (to me) than other more popular options. It is a much smoother film with less texture, especially compared to Suntek or 3m. I was able to see examples of virtually every product out there before deciding on STEK. It is the only film that truly hides orange...
