In general allows for less pedal effort and shorter throw since the clutches are now stiffer to hold the added power. Although it seems that with CM all you get a fun ride on the tow truck.
Seems like poor design choices were made allowing it to extend past the appropriate range. Sad to see things like these on parts that are by no means cheap. Looking forward to your feedback on the PTB clutch.
Sadly I never got the shape to match and I always had a small uneven gap that I just didn't like. Not really noticeable but I knew it was there and bothered the heck out of me. I also ended up changing jobs so now I gotta find a free CAD software if I want to keep going this route. I might just...
I think that I've seen his IG as well but also most folks aren't interested in working with any body control units. I don't mind it as long as I know what I have to do since I'm no expert with wiring diagrams.
I'm not a fan of how the OLM version looks and you still need to tap wires with those...
That should at least let me search for things a bit more but with the Supra being my first BMW I'm not sure it's much of a difference 🤣. I'll be doing the 4th brake/fog light from EU in the mean time in hopes this swap gets a bit more documentation. Don't want to drop the tail light money yet...
I'm right there with you 😅 . A connector in series is what I thought they used until I saw the video. I'll have to do some digging around if I end up doing that cuz I couldn't find the fuse. I'd rather avoid having to take out so many pieces off if I'm still going to have to route the wire...
Yeah but using a fuse tap would have still gotten the same power input so things would have remained in sync. Although I have yet to find the correct fuse so they might have been in a similar situation and tapped the wire for that reason. Not sure if you or anyone else might know which is the...
On a side note, is the wiring to the BDC for this to work documented anywhere? Haven't been able to find it and was thinking about just pulling the signal from the headlights.
Just to make sure I'm understanding this properly, it is possible to just swap the to the EU tails and code them to work properly? So the signal section would stay off at all times and they would only light up when the signal is actually being used?
I know they are track pads but I'm running the PMU Clubracers and feel like they dust a bit less than stock. There might be less dusty options but these could be a good tradeoff for the upgraded stopping power.
Correct me if I'm wrong but to my understanding the the EWG table might be getting flipped when it gets rescaled during tuning since one can pretty much rewrite what it does at the defined values the ECU reads. In the toyobaru twins something similar is done to use one of the o2 sensors as a...
I think that the reason why big turbo kits get rid of the oem wg is mostly because of the pain it would be to adapt it. Most turbos in those sizes don't even come with an integrated wg option I think. Haven't looked around but would be interesting if the oem wiring were able to control an...
Not sure if you have looked at them but the Remnant Omega 65 kits can push the kind of power you are looking for long term, maybe even more. It's not a hybrid but still a stock location kit. Alec was showing some pulls from someone who has an auto and is pretty much about to hit an 8 sec 1/4...
I picked up a cheap off brand one in Amazon for les than $70. Hurts less to cut it up and easier to clean if something spills since all the channels go in one direction.

Out of curiosity, if he were to reach the 8s, would that make the Omega 65 the first stock location turbo to get into the 8sec for our platform? I haven't seen anything from the other brands going this fast and this would certainly add onto the value of what this kit is capable of offering.
With that octane it might not even be worth upgrading to such an expensive turbo. Even the pure800 is considerable money to not get the most out of it. An omega 65 would help bring the cost per hp down considerably and already comes with the t51r mod too. I've seen folks push over 500 with it...
I wish they made Flex As for the Supra. Had the CSG Specs in my BRZ and they were great without being too pricey and the custom valving made them outperform much more expensive options.
