On the stock motor/turbo there might not be much difference.
When you upgrade the turbo, the down pipe becomes the bottleneck.
Catless will give you the best performance, at the best price, with the ability to grow without bottleneck.
By the posts on this forum, it appears even catted...
I have seen dealers before where folks come in with an out of warranty car with modifications comes in and they flat out refuse to work on it - just sometimes not worth the headache.
Hopefully they get to the root cause of your issue!!
Here's my two cents:
Play the game - put the stock intake back on, see if issue repeats. I have seen issues with aftermarket intakes that definitely cause all sorts of weird issues - they change the angle/location of MAF, etc. Do not listen to people on the internet who do not know how the...
I had an opportunity to get the car up in the air a bit, disassemble things, use my scope and poke around with my hands.
I pulled off the mass damper from the rear subframe, and found diff oil over the top of it. (note: the BMW Z4 does not have this piece - maybe due to subframe connectors for...
Not to say the Verus part does not work, however in this situation I am doubting the differential is overheating, if it was you would have an error on the dash due to the diff having an oil temp sensor built into the drain plug.
Members who have had this looked at, had the differential drained...
I should also add that I have been trying to see what the GT4 car uses for cooling, and I have yet to be able to find a picture of the underside.
I have only found this picture so far, which appears to show one side exhaust and what appears to me, to be a cooler of some type to the left of the...
What's your mileage on the car? I'm really starting to wonder if some differentials were overfilled from the factory....
My boroscope died otherwise I would have been able to get under the car and see for sure where it was coming from....I have another one that should be here soon.
My thoughts are that maybe some of these cars are overfilled from the factory and causes the fluid to puke out through the breather hole.
haha, just noticed this on my car as well with 650 miles on it as well, a couple of drips on the ground where the diff is with that wonderful smelling diff fluid.
Another fun involved ownership experience with the Supra :)
I'll keep an eye on it and am going to buy the Verus diff cooler to see...
