  1. Manual Supra pricing

My guess is "Enthusiasts Edition", some special colors perhaps, manual trans, slot in where the A91/CF Editions have been for the prior model years.
  2. Official Manual Transmission discussion thread

Honestly I'm not sure hahaha. Clutch pedal is the middle one, right? o_O I'll tell you what though, and I might catch some flak for this, I am a little bored of my Supra. As wonderful as it is, it really does need to be a bit more engaging IMO. But honestly, I'd value an updated EPS rack as...
  3. Official Manual Transmission discussion thread

Once it's real, I'll drive one and make a video. For now I'll keep a backseat for the speculation! I do think this is coming, I have multiple sources that have mentioned it as well. But there was also a manual Supra in production testing back in the original camo prototype days, and it still...
  4. Guff's A90 Supra Rebuild - TA90 Lives On

Nothing specific as of yet! I'm at an interesting crossroads where I want to buy the JDM Classics that I've been lusting after since I was a kid. Just bought a '76 Celica Liftback, looking to grab an FD RX-7 soon, and so the Supra is getting lower and lower on the priority list. I don't think...
  5. Guff's A90 Supra Rebuild - TA90 Lives On

Well, friends, after two long years, the final conclusion to the Supra build is here. It's a retrospective of the last couple of years' work, all condensed into about 8 minutes. It was honestly kind of emotional making this video, such a wacky journey it's been, full of lots of learning! Hope...
  6. Intake Manifolds

Yeah, this is what I was thinking would happen. The heat exchanger might help prevent the car from pulling timing for maybe a few percent longer, but overall the factory intake manifold just isn't cut out for it. As much as I'd like to not track in hot weather, the season in the Midwest is...
  7. Using external wastegate

I have no experience in this so my answer is completely a guess, but I was under impression that the boost venting through the exhaust was entirely handled by the VANOS system. It uses a combination of cylinder shutoff and valve timing overlap in order to vent the intake through the exhaust...
  8. US Taillights (ending WAA02) vs Foreign Market Taillights (ending WAA01)

I don't know if they are plug and play because I haven't been able to get a solid picture of the connector yet. But we did discuss this briefly in the USDM Headlights thread. https://www.supramkv.com/threads/usdm-headlight-vs-the-rest.1590/page-2#post-128785
  9. CEL - CD840A - FA-CAN Bus communication error

I'd say that's probably your culprit. Flex Fuel taps into some CAN channels, Crankcase Vent Heater, etc. I'd check the pins on the Body Control Module harness that you had to swap and see if that is it.
  10. CEL - CD840A - FA-CAN Bus communication error

I would first ask the tuner and/or flash to stock and see if it continues. Have you done any modifications to your car? CAN errors often can occur if there are wiring issues. But if you haven't done anything that may have caused that then I'd say its unlikely that you have wiring issues. Unless...
  11. Longterm Heat Damage

To be fair it probably won't do much. I was logging Coolant Temp, Oil Temp, and IATs at a track day recently, and having the hood open between sessions had a marginal difference in how quickly it cooled down. The fans will continue to run for a while after the car is off, and no doubt having the...
  12. Let's Talk About Manual Transmission Swaps

I miss the days when Kurt was there too man. I've had some bad experiences there getting parts for this car. Lots of wrong stuff delivered and bad communication. Still a great discount though! I think the challenge of figuring out the electronics is more fun to me than just going full racecar...
  13. Let's Talk About Manual Transmission Swaps

This is a lot easier said than done, unfortunately. Modern CANBUS electronics control every function of the car down to the dome lights. Very little is on a traditional relay system. If you want the car to have ABS, Power Steering, functioning headlights and taillights, etc, then you need to...
  14. Let's Talk About Manual Transmission Swaps

It's on the docket for sure! Just don't have the time for it right now, especially since I'm daily driving the Supra right now. I'll keep doing the research and sharing it here though! I think I have the swap mostly figured out, so it shouldn't be too complicated once I get around to it.
  15. Let's Talk About Manual Transmission Swaps

Yes, but it's pretty expensive and they take years. Only option available for anyone who wants to get it done though.
  16. Let's Talk About Manual Transmission Swaps

The Supra trans tunnel has an indentation where the shifter mechanism would go, it just requires cutting and you're good. The factory brake master has a sealed off nipple on it for a clutch line. That just needs to be cut open and it's good to go as well. As far as electronics go, I spoke to a...
  17. Let's Talk About Manual Transmission Swaps

Hate to necro this thread, but with the new M3/M4 coming out, I started doing a little research on the manual transmissions that will be available in those cars. Unfortunately, it seems that the S58 has a totally different bellhousing pattern than the B58TU. The starter on the S58 is on the...
  18. Fuse box location for fuse f1

Here's how it looks in the Supra. This is a screenshot taken from some random guy's Flex Fuel install. Video is here: Look at about 1 hour into the video.
