Dang I didn't know allocations went by how frequently the sales guy checks so I am definitely going to start bugging both of them as I rarely hear from them. I don't know the color preferences but my dealer did tell me that my spec is the one everyone wants which is a nocturnal 3.0 premium mt. I...
I’m in DE as well, it’s not looking good for us. I’m hoping some of the Baltimore dealers start getting some. I’m seeing mostly NJ dealers getting allocations.
...on the actual real car - my sign-up had to be on the current Supra. It's basically a "list" for once the dealership does start getting allocations from Toyota, then they will know who is on the list and how/order to allocate the cars once it is in the system.
Toyota are generally good with...
I was originally #16 back in April, and last week I received a call and was told #14, so the 2 allocations of a white and a red makes sense. Thanks for sharing again!
My sales rep never told me my exact spot but he definitely hinted at me being either #1 or #2. Guaranteed I’d be part of the first batch. They received a white and red one as the first few allocations so he was able to get me the white one.
well I guess I meant from start of allocations of 2023's til early october, 400ish were allocated. I'm guessing there's only a very select few left that have not been allocated, if any at all
I see that there's non-A91 manual allocations starting to trickle into the American dealerships. Anyone in Canada hear anything yet? My dealer has no updates yet.
Nice! I’m in the area and did not see an A91 at Frontier on the site, so I think your relationship with the salesman really helped. Hamer was locked in at 10k over a two week period, but I didn’t go in person.
...Toyota in SCV and they include this standardized 4.5k package on all of their vehicles but do not take reservations/deposits until allocations are received and work off an (in person) first come, first serve basis, regardless of area. Hamer in Mission Hills works the same. My salesperson...
Toyota doesn’t take special orders or etc. I wish they did. They are all allocations and you may or may not get one with similar options. You will have more luck at a super high volume Toyota who gets a lot of allocations.
Call some dealers in your area and ask them if they will take a refundable deposit for putting in your preference. Make sure of their out the door price at the same time. No sense in putting in a deposit with a dealer who is going to bend you over like an olympic gymnast's coach with a markup...
...to get on a waiting list for a 6MT. A few -but not all - are asking me for a thousand bucks. Toyota determines which dealers get which allocations - right? Does my thousand dollars really have any affect whatsoever on that? I can see a dealer adding a markup - then it is up to me to decide if...
