Thank you! So race fuel would be no good then? So if going to drag strip, put a couple of gallons of e85 in and it would be OK and "possibly" get a couple more ponies out of it
Sooo since we are on the topic, would it be beneficial at all to put a couple gallons of e85 in a stock tuned car? And I mean literally couple, 2,two lol.
Also, what about pure race fuel? I am clueless to this type of stuff.
Remedied the stock chargepipe. But, if you do go bigger boost, I personally(just due to the past bmw pipes and this being plastic) would go with an aftermarket one.
Fwiw, I've been wondering this as well. I completely understand what you are looking for. Wish I could provide some input, I'm just interested as you are. But, I do think best thing would be ask some people privately. I don't thibk anyone would openly say tuner A makes the most power but 2 years...
As zrk said it's mostly for looks. I changed mine immediately, because coming from previous bmw engines it was a weak point. They've remedied it and is no longer a problem. Tighten it down well and you will be fine
Well damn, that's good though. There needs to be more that are equipped the 400 cat. Was basing it off when I was researching mine what everyone had said. Glad I know to recommend more
Ams and AA are the only catted downpipes that don't throw a code. Had my AA installed for almost 13k miles and no issues. You should be perfectly fine not throwing a code.
Contact AA and let them know. They are really great at handling any issues. My exhaust was missing a hanger, called them and they overnighter it immediately. Their products are 99% of the time outstanding quality. Explain what is going on to them and they will take care of you.
