If yours does this something is seriously wrong. You should always have to reverse the locking mechanism before it will lower. That’s the whole point of mechanical locks.

I have both 10 and 13 mm spacers. I’ll do some experimenting when I get the car back out sometime in March and will try to remember to update this thread.

You simply drive up on some 1x6 wood pieces before sliding the QJ under. Easy.

My uneducated observation of the mechanical locks is they are stout. I just don’t see how they can fail. I still use the secondary stands though. The quickjack videos where they hold up to really absurd overloading also helps with the comfort level.
