Same here... if there is any at all, I'd guess it's <1%. Most likely just feels that way due to the transmission tuning being even more aggressive and keeping engine over 3.5K RPM at all times. Really hard to tell if the engine tuning is more than just some extra burbles either for that...
Not to mention a +12 offset is even slightly more aggressive on the MKV than on the 350Z. Looks super clean on the Z however - especially in that black and gold combo. GLWS
Exactly. Just like every other form of modern encryption... if it didn't work that way, then accessing or transferring data would require an "open box" every time and be little better than no security at all. Probably easier to describe as allowed/prohibited rather than unlocked/locked...
I've tried repeatedly to come up with that case... still nothing. I'm not all that big (certainly compared to the average American male) at 6ft 170lbs - and I'm reasonably sure I'd have to be cut into several pieces to fit back there with the hatch closed... in which case, pulling that handle...
Yep, and just like so many things these days marketed as "updates" or "fixes" - I'm not willing to be one of the first 100 or so to get it done either. It's not as simple/cheap/fast to resolve a bricked car as it is a bricked game console or smartphone.
I think the bright side...
From same article:
Too bad they couldn't run the MY21 to see because it should have been faster in the quater-mile, but considering the TQ similarities I'm guessing almost exactly the same 0-60. Definitely agree with all regarding this only being a consideration on competition builds... no...
Now if only there was a definition of "firm" and "lightly" that wasn't entirely up to personal interpretation.
I guess it's "mash it with all your might" every time you start the car then.. LOL! Safety first and all.
That's what I'm thinking of myself. Well, either that or the (much cheaper) Eton kit. I definitely trust Focal to have the best drivers... but since the factory drivers aren't really that bad - I'm not convinced simply replacing them will net much difference. Plus, if you aren't upgrading the...
It's really hard to say, honestly. I've switched back and forth and the difference is subtle to say the least. What I can say is it sounds slightly more aggressive and the transmission definitely holds gears a bit longer (steering and damping are the same regardless).
In theory it shifts a...
@METAL used those in active mode (DSP xover instead of the passive network) in his build thread. However he indicated that someone else used them with the factory network somewhere... I'm still looking for it as well, but if I find I'll update this post for ya.
@jorligan mentions in a few...
@Dreamtalon91 - it won't really do much for the problem you indicated. The amount of power produced at a given RPM in a given mode won't change... all these types of devices do is essentially tell the car that you pushed the pedal down much farther than you did.
So if it feels sluggish under...
I've got XPEL PrimeXR+ ceramic tint on windows (20 on rear/sides and 70 on windshield). It's certainly possible that it has no effect as evidence was purely anecdotal (and with a sample size of one). I showed no Wifi at all until windows were rolled down and then suddenly had full bandwidth...
I'm going to have to get those expensive bulbs I guess - but I'll test with incandescents first. Mine is same as some... if I'm more than 4 feet from the door... no open ever. Works much better (but still not fantastic) with the other door - the one I don't park in of course. Will...
First of all let me compliment you on the Real Genius quote in your sig. Loved that movie and feel old realizing how long ago that was when I saw it in the theater. Sigh.
So if we go by time spent above 4K... it's probably 10 minutes max between changes in my case - basically the same as the...
Well... I can sort of see it depending on how scummy a dealership they are and how "creative" they are at their bookkeeping. At my closest Toyota dealership here - they are total fraudsters (which is why I had to drive to the other side of the valley to buy my MKV). I remember several years...
Carmax? Based on my (mostly bad) experiences with multiple purchases there (before finally learning my lesson). They will likely buy it at more than you paid - considering they'll turn around and sell it to someone for $58K or something like that.
If that's not a sensor misreading that's some horrible burn! Agree quite puzzling and frustrating.
If there is such a thing as a "silver lining" in this... at that rate you'll never need an oil change because you'll have replaced the full 7 by the time it's due for one - so you can just do the...
Do you have any visible where you park? That soon after a change (unless you've been tracking it hard during that 400 miles) would make me wonder if they didn't get the drain plug all the way tight or if the sensor was bad and it's full. Hate to see an overfill by a full quart just because the...
@glennQNYC - Am I to infer from that picture inclusion that you were one of the designers of the Muon?
While I would definitely agree with the general premise, and even more so specifically on the aspects regarding protection - I would add that not everyone agrees with the voicing...
