Man you really have it out for this car don’t you?
First of all I did not claim anything, but that there is a chance. I am saying that because the car can supposedly run a very respectable lap time and because the actual specifications of the chassis are very good meaning that it is likely that...
I think we are looking at this car too much from the A80’s perspective. That car made awesome power and it did handle well. But the targa is a floppy noodle and the car is not really known for its handling.
I think the new Supra has a good chance to become a track legend. It has an awesome...
Well for one, yes, they increase the actual pressure applied by the clutch packs, two the zf trans is pretty tough, three a tune is less than 1k, and four, if the new Supra is going to always cost more and be less proven, then why would anyone want a new Supra if the old one is proven and cheap...
@A70TTR Hey, I happened to read some old threads and you once mentioned the engine being tested to 700hp but it was CGI. Do you know if they were actually just talking about the B58 or is it a future model?
I doubt you will be able to test drive. I tried to drive a GT350, Focus RS, Civic Type R, STI RA, etc. when they had just come out. All of them were claimed to be too limited to be driven by others who weren’t committed to the car.
The TU has a revised rear chain. https://www.bmwblog.com/2018/10/31/bmw-b58-tu1-technical-updates-bring-388-horsepower/ It is now one piece instead of two and it has reduced friction by 30%.
The solution for only pump is meth injection. Cools the intake temp and reduces knock. Only have to refill it every 500-1000 miles depending on how you drive.
Hello,
I was just browsing the ol’ BMW forums and happened to come across this gem. If anyone was worried too much about the B58, just know that we have at least a good stage 2 tune.
If any of you have followed recent BMW tuning for the B58, one of the earliest to crack the new ECU was Mission...
The new variable BMW racks are very nice. They are fixed ratios on the rack itself, as in it will never randomly change. The rack has a progressive variable ratio, which I think feels quite nice.
So from what I have been told I have an “allocation” and I have asked for white, but apparently I will not really have a choice and I may or may not get white.
I don't think that's a fair assessment. Toyota built this car right now because there probably will not be a next time. This was their last chance before emission regulations and rising gas prices shut the door on our internal combustion powered past.
This also meant they did not have the...
The company building it is not just another third party line. It is Magna Steyr, the company that builds the 5-series, the G-wagen and once built the Rapide and the SLS. I think they know how to build a quality car that is up to your professional standards.
