I think that is a good theory, but I imagine they had some inkling as BMW developed the B58TU and I assume they had horsepower targets for their next car. However, I am curious if that is the correct version of the story, would @A70TTR have any input?
So, I was just sitting over here thinking. A lot of the information we have heard over the past couple years seems to be conflicting at release. From prior claims that the Supra would make 380 to 335, that it would be iron or aluminum, it seems that a lot of things don't quite line up.
At this...
So apparently (if I am reading correctly) the B58B30O1 which is used in the 382 hp Z4 actually has the integrated exhaust manifold. It would seem most of the pictures on the internet actually incorrectly picture this engine.
Yea I had a buddy pay 20k markup for 991.2 GT3 with manual. I will have to see so far, there has been no mention of a markup but I don’t doubt there will be one by delivery time.
No, I have not spoken with them since the official price release. The dealer owner is friend so I am curious whether there will be a market adjustment or not.
So now that we all know what the Supra is going to cost, I was wondering what the official procedure will be like to order one in the U.S. I personally have had a deposit down at a fairly large dealer in Southern California. They so far have told me that I am first on their list.
However...
So I’ll be honest, I’m disappointed in the specs. If you rewatch the video, it has the integrated exhaust manifold. I think they are asking too much for the car for too little performance.
