My favorite BMW of all time is the E92 M3. The current M2 is very good. My old F80 wasn’t bad. Now I understand the reliability concerns, but if BMW has been as thorough as they make it sound you should have nothing to worry about.

I don't know about that. The PDK is awesome 99% of the time, don't get me wrong. I've had two. But, that transmission has some issues with predictability that sometimes can put you in bad situations. I also recall that Matt Farah said this is the best tuned ZF trans he has driven, high praise...

The O1 is similar to the ones they have been using in cars on sale. So all current 40's from the past 3 years are all separate exhaust manifold.

I still don't understand this whole mirror issue. If we look at this with a purely realistic standpoint, the stupid (albeit pretty) mirrors on the FT-1 would make it impossible to see cars next to you. It sounds nice in theory, but on paper it would suck every day having to strain to see cars...

The HPFP can’t pump much more though. The B58 runs 350 bar of fuel pressure and that’s a single hpfp instead of dual like the S55. I am not up to date on the N54 but I recall those are piezoelectric injectors and that the fuel system is fairly robust.

Nobody can say for sure. All I know is that my experiences with BMW have always been positive. I have never had issues outside of scheduled maintenance.
