She is back home. And god damn that custom turbo delivers power so much smoother than the standard turbo. Linear power on the street, just awesome. This makes the car so alive and much better to drive and control.
Taken the traction control off made it on the standard turbo very tailhappy and...

Yes, modified bolt-on turbo providing a much better powerband than the standard turbo... which was pushed to its limits.
Happy that indeed the 2nd version did the job.
Only running a downpipe and this turbo. So still...
Today was the last day for now to play with the upgraded turbo. Having really nice results when taking into account the following:
hot intake temperature & humidity of the air
ECU resticting the boost to 1.2bar from around 5700 RPM (turbo running 1.4 bar in the lower range)
93 octane fuel...
Will depend on the quality of the mod. Don't know how accurate it was made... but I don't think they had the engineering department of Toyota taking part of it to make all parameters fit.
But again.... curious :)
As it was a colder day today and more was learnt regarding the ECUTEK platform for the Supra... hitting currently the same HP number as with the standard turbo;
But as you all can see, a much smoother and less agressibe curve, comapared to the standard one
The best physics and sounds are still present in rFactor 2.
But graphical wise... it so very out-dated.

Here in Europe we are in 99.99% of the cases never advertising HP to the wheels.
But if not mistaken, it is 13% taken into account as drivetrain loss.

This morning... a few runs were done with the new custom turbo:
On 1.3 bar (19psi), the car is making 540-550hp on octane 93.
This to get a baseline compared to the standard turbo... that topped out at 520HP.
The custom turbo has a much smoother powerband. Unfortunately I don't have a picture...
I was also looking into a second-hand Nissan GT-R.
Price-wise they compare, the GT-R still being a little bit more expensive on second-hand market compared to the price of the new Supra.
But yearly taxes etcetera pushed me towards the Supra.
And also the iDrive system is way better.

They expect that it will still get lower from the moment they start driving with it, springs getting little softer.
If it is not raining this Saturday, Custom Import Arts will take my Supra for a drive and on Monday check the allignment.
