What makes you think the circuit guys have their stock cats on? ?
My turbo has held up fine because I now know the limits it can handle. It honestly seems you are well on your way to breaking a lot of stuff. The attitude against a <1,000$ cat holding you up is nothing compared to the 2,500$...
This was the only time back to back racing I’ve done with the car. It felt sluggish while it was glowing. Ran the car to let it cool but I bet it would have burned oil if I shut it off without realizing. It’s « ok » for turbos to glow under high stress but it will also shorten the life to get...
This is my turbo glowing because of the stock cat. Can’t dump the pressure or the heat fast enough. If everyone on here is giving you the same advise and you still don’t want to take it, then I’m not sure why you asked in the first place
That’s what I meant by sensor control. @zrk didkt think it’s possible and another folk wanted the burble tune. Personally I’m not even going to run multiple maps or anything, just trying to make sense out of with the info we have
Nothing official released yet but it’s in the works. Should be cheaper but less options than the ecutek package. It’s pretty much confirmed that Marin is willing to tune on the platform
edit: it goes to Russia still. I know this question will come up
Another question came to mind. Say we did buy this direct fetmo tune, and then the real true direct ecutek unlock came out after; Can we just tune over the fetmo part? Or will this screw up our ecu to other tuning platforms down the road?
that’s seeming very basic of a tune. One map, no anti lag, no flex fuel adjustment, no sensor control, and no burbles. I’d also assume you cannot hyjack any screen indicators like you can with ecutek.
But for the right price that reflects the simplicity, I’d take it
Not too bad. I’m planning to buy a gen 3 viper after the Supra. Switching from stick to sequential is 40,000 for the kit alone. I’m planning to pay a 60,000 bill to ditch the stick. If people « need » it, then we’d see number of people buying it. I’ve seen countless vipers with sequential...
I doubt it. It’s a lot easier for people to get on the forums and hate on bmw/Toyota than to slap 10k down and get it done yourself.
Personally if the base price of the car was 55k with a manual but a zf trans upgrade for 10k then I would have payed the extra 10k. Just think of it that way
ive been recommending a90 to start making them non cf. im interested if shops can just cut the hood right under where these open up. is it the structural integrity?
