That "screwing over" has gone both ways. Or did you forget about Perez's convenient spin in Monaco as Max was on a pole lap in qualifying? It's not just Max. And Perez should worry more about Ricciardo. Max was told by his engineer to keep pace, Max decided on his own to go for fastest lap...
  2. Formula 1 Talk

Mercedes has a concept they thought would keep them out in front, but instead they forgot about the porpoising. While Red Bull did not. See Mercedes engineers are relatively young, whereas Newey had designed a ground effect car before, so he knew exactly what to look for. Aston Martin for...

He was asked to slow down .4 of a second per lap. As was Max, who slowed down as well. Later on they were BOTH told free to push. If you're going to say things, say them right. The people with blinders on, are "fans" like you who think everything is a conspiracy.

Yeah that safety car was ridiculous. Completely unnecessary. Max would've gotten P2 regardless so it didn't really matter as far as that is concerned. The Russell vs Hamilton situation seems to be heating up quite early, with little digs in the media and radio calls during the race. Will be fun...

F1 TV. Said goodbye to cable long time ago

Hard to say. It all depends how the start goes. If Max doesn't get tagged by anyone on the first lap, a podium should be on. I would LOVE an Alonso win.

I am Dutch, and our culture is simple. We're straight to the point. No sugar coating, no beating around the bush. Some people perceive that as being an asshole, when to us it's the opposite. We respect you enough to tell you like it is. We are very easy when it comes to things like that...

1a) yes I think so. Reason for it is because Russell won one. And I rate Max much higher. Hamilton almost won the US GP also. Had they made better strategy calls, the Hungarian and Dutch GP were there for the taking too. 1b) most definitely. Anyone in the top teams could have won in the Red...
  9. Formula 1 Talk

Formula One foremost is a constructors championship. The driver's championship got added later. But it's all about the teams, who builds the better car. That's why prize money is divided according to team position. Max is very much like Senna and Schumacher. He doesn't give a F what anyone...

Yeah was awesome. I've always been an Alonso fan. He's just had the worst luck in career choices but finally it's working out for him. Watching him pass Russell, Hamilton twice, and Sainz was just epic. He wouldn't have caught Leclerc so he needed a little luck, but he's more than due.
  11. AWE Touring Resonated ride-along

The AWE Resonated Touring is fantastic. Have had it on my car for 2 years. With the stock DP it sounds glorious. Not obnoxiously loud, and a great sound when driving spirited. And if you have a 21+ you get nice crackles on downshifting you don't get with the stock catback.
  12. Rice or nice?

    That's an insult to Rice.
  13. Do All lowering springs ride firmer?

They have to. If they ride with the same softness they'd bottom out on the bump stops. The shorter the spring, the harder the stiffness has to be to make up for it. Some springs are progressive in stiffness though, so they're a little softer in the beginning and then get firmer as you put more...

30 years for me. Was lucky enough to see Senna race before his crash.

Yeah I think 2023 will be a lot more like 2021. Everyone learned their lessons this year. Mercedes are back, Ferrari are right there, Red Bull has the least development time being Champions, things will be a lot closer. I'm already excited for winter testing.
  16. Formula 1 Talk

None of what you said is right lol. Formula One introduced new regulations to bring the field closer together. They're not all the same. Just look at the Mercedes no pod design. And they succeeded. The beginning of the year, Ferrari had the best car, but got out developed by Red Bull and...

Wouldn't be an Abu Dhabi Grand Prix without Hamilton cutting the chicane  Shame Perez couldn't catch Leclerc, rare fumble from Red Bull strategy there. Max in his own league. Untouchable. Sainz stood out to me, looked much more competitive in the car. Will be exciting to see him vs...
  18. Formula 1 Talk

Yeah what Max did was not right by not letting Checo by. He would not have won his title in 2021 if it wasn't for Checo holding up Hamilton in Abu Dhabi. At least Ferrari didn't let Leclerc and Sainz swap either, so they're equal on points. George drove great, didn't put a foot wrong. Restarts...

    Well done George, controlled race.

Stewards showing their favoritism again. Max was alongside on the kerb, don't know where they expect him to go ?‍♂️
