Yeah you want to sink into the snow, not ride on top. Sidewall height is measured in percentage. So a 225/40 is not as tall as a 275/40 that's why I say a 255/40 instead of a 275/35. Sidewall height wise, they're almost identical. I would go as narrow as the wheels would allow. Like 225/40/19...
