Ferrari were incredible under Schumacher/Brawn/Todt. Strategy was their strong suit. The most legendary win Schumacher has was winning while serving a penalty. Was epic!
And they took all that knowledge to Mercedes where Brawn and Schumacher set everything up at Mercedes, and Todt was FIA...
I hated seeing that FKN finger after every race he won. Couldn't stand Vettel. I started liking him at Ferrari. Webber was shit. He wasn't mistreated, he just wasn't fast enough. He had his days, but way to inconsistent. Just like Perez.
? yeah true. There's 12 year olds rallying MANUALS on ice and snow in Scandinavia, but Europeans don't know how to REALLY drive stick ????? that guy is rolling some crazy blunts with those race receipts.
??? yeah those receipts, let's see them. I HPDE my auto Supra, and I shift it manually with the paddles, because it's just better than a stick. I pick the shift points, the same as with a stick. Just with more performance. "You're not doing it" except that I am.
How come the best drivers in...
No, I proved that your reasoning is wrong. You claim it's because of lack of skill, and it isn't. It's too slow. A manual adds nothing for us, because we are so used to it. To you it's "special" because it's hard for you. You think it's an accomplishment.
It's not.
You're an idiot. Europeans buy performance vehicles with performance parts, i.e. PDK. Americans buy manuals to boast that they drive a manual, even though it makes their performance car slower. We buy performance cars for a purpose, performance. That's why you see Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini...
That is the dumbest "Murica" post ever. Like people in Europe don't do track days ? the best tracks in the world are in Europe. Monza, Spa, Silverstone, not to mention the grandaddy of them all, the Nurburgring.
I've lived 22 years in Europe, and 20 years in the U.S. and I can tell you from...
Funny thing is, that's exactly what Mercedes did. Bought a Championship winning team (Brawn) and bought Ross Brawn with it, added in Michael Schumacher who both were instrumental in bringing back Ferrari to the front. And as soon as the work was done, kicked them both to the curb.
Whereas Red...
Yup exactly. Take last race. Mercedes took 3 seconds to pit, Red Bull did it in 2.2 seconds. That's 8 tenths gained. That can be 3 laps of racing trying to catch someone, or the difference between exiting behind, or in front of someone.
With refueling it was even better, because some cars...
Exactly. It's a team sport, and the driver is only a part of that team. The design of the car, the quick pit stops, the strategy (as Ferrari is showing) and the driver have to all come together to become the best.
All those publications you mentioned are British, so they're all up Lewis' butthole. You are spot on about the bias.
Ah the usual drivel.... Red Bull was hated during the Vettel times too, but that was before your time.
Max treated Perez that way because of him intentionally crashing in Monaco...
Yup! And ditch hybrid, and bring back refueling. Refueling added more strategy and stops were longer, around 6 seconds, and the V8 and V10 just sounded incredible. With synthetic fuels, this should be possible. The cars are too big and too heavy. The early 2000's is when they were perfect.
DTS is the biggest nonsense ever. None of it is real. Several drivers have made comments how DTS tried to make rivalries and stories about things that were absolutely untrue.
