You beat me to it lol.
On a more serious note, I run 5w30 because that’s what Mike Botti suggested. I also live in SC around the Columbia area, in the arm pit of the state.
Thanks for the help bro. I use this website https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/v-2020-toyota-gr-supra--premium--3-0l-l6-gas to order parts. They’re legit, comes straight to the dealer or your house but at a cheaper price.
Could someone please help me find the part number for the seal circled below. I had some work done on my car a while back and noticed that the seal was never re-installed by the body shop. I’d rather not go through the hassle of dealing with them again and figure the new seal is only gonna run...
Meth is definitely not required. There are some benefits to using meth and some negatives of using meth. For me the benefits outweighed the negatives so I went with it. You get some extra power with it, it steam cleans the cylinder, and is some added protection to getting some crummy ethanol...
All street driving. I got the tires used when I purchased my wheels second hand. They were probably 40-50% when I got them, and they lasted about a year. But, my car is also a weekend warrior.
I’m rocking 285 Nitto NT555RIIs on my rear currently and they’ve been great. I’m at the end of the life cycle on them now, so going to opt into 305s for the new ones.
I’m running flex E50 with meth on a Botti tune. I’m still able to break the rear loose at 40mph with the 285s.
Thanks for the input. This thread seems to have gone cold pretty quick. I know there was another thread about 305/30 vs 305/35, but I’ve read through that.
Hey guys, I’ve reached the point where I need to drop some money on new rear tires. I’m currently running 285/35/19 tires in the rear and want to upgrade to 305/35/19. I’m running the HKS adjustable springs so I can raise in the rear if need be. Trying to get y’all’s help to figure out if...
I’m running this virtual dyno: https://barnhill.bitbucket.io/
I went in and set the tire sizes and vehicle weights. I selected the 2020 Supra, and was assuming the gear ratio was set from pre-selecting the car. That may be where the issue lies. The log I loaded in was also a 3rd gear to 5th...
Plugged in = Loaded.
From what I know of it you just load in your log and it was suppose to do some magic and spit me out a dyno. I’m 100% sure that it’s not graphing the right parameters given the graph.
I'm not super savvy when it comes to this stuff, and I was wondering if maybe someone out there could provide me with some assistance. I stumbled upon virtual dyno the other day and thought I could take the last log I did for Botti when I was getting street tuned. Well I plugged it into the...
You still have the car or you parting it out? Ive got a set of wheels and tires I’d trade if you’d go for that sort of thing. I’m in Columbia, SC.
My wheels are Gram Lights 57FXZ Overseas model wheels with Nitto NT555RII tires.
The wider the tire means the more contact the tire makes with the road surface. More contact with the road surface means better traction results. Wider tire = better traction.
There’s a lot more to gaining better traction than just throwing on a wider tire to get better traction, but...
I run boost juice (water/meth mixture) and I’m told it helps lol. I didn’t log intake temps before or after adding it so I can’t speak for it. There’s also a lot of other benefits, like steam cleaning the cylinders. Here is a pretty cheesy albeit informative video about meth.
