It said full DRIVE power might not be available for 30 seconds after starting the engine. In order to get full DRIVE power, it has to DRIVE. See where this is going??
Because you're just supposed to pop it in gear, and go, not sit there and try to rev it. It's not letting you for a reason.
I have. The supercharger whine is great. Lots of fun in a straight line.
What I meant was, if you bring modding into it, there's always a cheaper/better way to do things. You could buy an old FR-S, gut it, throw in an engine of your choice, and be lots faster and cheaper than a Supra. That debate is endless. You can really only compare stock vs stock.
A comparable...
Between an Evora and a GT4, I'd pick the GT4 too, but the Emira just looks way better than the Evora IMO. Looks like a baby McLaren. Been watching the reviews at Goodwood festival of speed and it's just a fantastic car it seems.
Ah yes, underlining a few words out of a paragraph to take things out of context. Always a great argument. Or, highlighting things that were said months apart. Again, out of context.
Nobody has had that randomly during driving. Only right after startup. It can happen hot or cold engine. But it goes away shortly after putting the car in gear.
It's in the Supra manual, because that's what we drive. But I've read about it on BMW forums too, so it's definitely a "BMW thing"
Old models, old tech. It's a "BMW thing" because the manual says it's normal. Just because your 10 year old BMW doesn't do it, doesn't mean new ones won't. It's just an engine protection that won't allow you to freely rev it unless conditions are right.
I got 2 years left on the Supra lease, so I'll be ordering next year, assuming a year waiting time. I'm hoping there will be a version with a roof scoop by then. And some other colors. Emira in Krypton Green would look insane.
I'd probably go for the manual too.
Yeah I read that later on too. Mid $70k range for a 4 cylinder?? And we thought the 2.0 Supra was expensive lol. You're only a few thousand away from a 6 cylinder Cayman GTS at that point. That's going to be a hard sell.
