I'll give you the REAL reason Bottas had a different wing... It wasn't for stability. The wing had more profile so what does that do? Disperse more air. Who benefits from that? The car behind you. Who was that again in qualifying? ?
Exactly. They intentionally made Bottas' car slower so...
And that's exactly why it won't be coming, because it doesn't need to. They sell. You don't see Nissan putting a manual in the GT-R, or Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini putting them in ANY vehicle they make. They don't need to. They sell anyway. There's absolutely no need to spend however much...
I've never had a car with fixed paddles so I'm not sure which I'd prefer. I do like the fact that you'll always know where they are. But, for racing it is nice to have the paddles under your fingertips as you steer.
You're onto something there. The Red Sport is $60k so I very much doubt they'll make that engine available for $35-40k in the base Z. That'll most likely get a lower hp version.
Easily on the manual. The auto it depends what kind of auto it's getting. If it's getting a DCT or the ZF8 like us, it could get interesting. If it gets an auto that likes to take it's time like the GR86, well, then it'll be much slower too.
There's no wrong answer. Do what you think is right. Under normal conditions the oil will last 10k easily. Just top off when it calls for it. Some of us track the car and we change it early because the car sees a lot more hard use and for ease of mind.
Anything that's not cosmetic, can get warranty claims denied. I include a catback in that, because it's just for sound and looks (the tips) and has no effect on the engine.
Wheels, tint, catback, spoiler, lip, etc. All safe.
The GRMN will most likely be a lot more expensive, and we don't know when it's coming, if the U.S. will get it, or how many will be available. I can easily see it being $70k or more.
The difference is I didn't go out of my way to join a Z forum to talk crap about their cars. The question came up HERE, on a Supra forum, and I merely stated my opinion, which is what you asked for.
