Did anyone suggest powdercoated 3.0 Premium wheels? Forged, classic five-spoke design, and probably the most cost-effective option, though you wouldn't be able to transfer your 18" tires.
Competition is good. It always irked me a little that Pure refused to offer the Supra community the Stage 1 turbo upgrade that BMW B58 cars get. It was an intermediate step compared to the 800 but it was $1195. Instead, we get shuffled into the option that costs more than twice as much. It’s...
Man, I really wish I knew what was going on. I haven't seen anything about this here or on bimmerpost. Drawbacks of not being on social media, I guess.
+1
Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger all got too big and too expensive and in Camaro's case, too ugly. The universe of buyers willing and able to pay upwards of $85K for the likes of GT500, Challenger Redeye, and ZL1 wasn't exactly huge and those platforms don't exactly translate if you try to...
This leads me to the question of whether there will actually be a higher performance GRMN version of the A90, perhaps with the S58 that is in the new M2 and G8x M3 and M4. My guess is no but I also didn't think Toyota would make a manual Supra either.
Been lowered for several months now and no issues whatsoever. I think he was trying to upsell you. I don't know how he would even be able to recalibrate the safety systems anyway.
Welcome to the community. JB4 + catted downpipe is a good plan, like zrk said. It's certainly a good starting point. A set of stickier tires might not hurt. That said, the car is damn quick in showroom stock trim.
They're not trash. They're just a compromise across dry traction, degradation, noise, aquaplaning resistance, and cost. Jack of all trades, master of none scenario.
A Cup2 would be a step up across some of those metrics. PS4S, RE71R, and AD08R would also be worth looking at.
I have this exact fitment. Front looks great. Rear is a little stretched but not so much that I am willing to waste fresh 275/35/19 tires. If and when they wear down, I'll step up to 285/35/19 or 305/30/19 in the rear.
