I dunno, if OP is going into the purchase wondering what the car will be worth in 2024, it may make more sense not to buy it, put the money into real estate, and get an old Prius or something when used car prices moderate. Cars, especially new cars, especially new sports cars, are not an...
Seems like the recall needs a recall. Is this an issue with the Bosch MG1 ECU? In other words, is this bricking issue being caused by the layers of security locking down the ECU?
I am glad the dealer is trying to do right by you by giving you a decent loaner. That said, if it will take over...
Not sure if this has also been said before but the placement of the cat is also very significant. An aftermarket downpipe situates the cat further back from the turbo compared to OEM.
Reads like the “before” dyno for any tuner hawking some aftermarket part. That said, dynos are for comparison purposes so there isn’t really much to infer from this.
Honestly, it is worth searching because the main options will not have changed much from 2020. XPH's list looks right to me. I have had the AA catted downpipe for a few thousand miles and no CEL. I am very pleased with it.
I will say that I do not see the point of paying extra for a catted...
I don't think I have ever seen a straight before/after dyno for JB4 on a 2021 3.0, either here or on N54tech. That said, the Burger site has dynos for some of the available maps: https://burgertuning.com/collections/2020-toyota-supra/products/jb4-for-a90-toyota-supra. There is nothing specific...
A couple indicative pictures. They tend to exaggerate the amount of stretch compared to in-person. It’s pretty similar to how they looked on the OEM wheels. Certainly not enough to make me chuck tires with 3000 miles on them.
I reused my OEM tires and I think they look great. Happy to take some pics when the weather improves if that would be helpful. I might even stick with those sizes whenever my tires are worn. Depends on what's available, as I'd prefer something like a Cup2, SC3R, or PZC4.
I think you have to love the one you're with. You're in a better spot because you have stock A91 wheels and not the two-tone mess Toyota foisted on the rest of us. But yeah, kudos to Toyota for forged OEM wheels but demerits for leaving a lot of rubber and performance on the table with 19x9/10...
OP, I'd walk away while you still have the chance if I were you. There are other 2020s out there and will be more as people sell into the fall/winter months.
If I didn't know better, it looks like a new Voltex prototype. I don't know of anyone else doing a top-mount-style rear wing for the Supra. I guess it could be a kind of home-made knockoff of the 992 GT3.
I’m always amazed at how goooood black wheels look on this car. I’ll NEVER understand why Toyota thought bicolor was better than black or silver. :dunno:
