I can only imagine how much better the 2021 Supra would've done if it had proper tires instead of these shopping cart wheels it comes with stock. The Cup2s I have on mine have made a major, major difference.
The M5CS is also a bit of a shocker.
The only thing I would add on #2 is that you'll need an ethanol blend to make ~500 whp on the stock turbo. I am not sure if you can make 500-550 whp on 93 with a Pure, Vargas, etc. I think so but others here will know better.
But if you want room to grow, you may need to look at a really...
It appears Alpine had a unilateral option to lock in Piastri for a seat for next year, which I understand they exercised. That said, I am sure Piastri's people were seeing if the McLaren seat was actually available and I am sure Alpine was thinking about bringing Ricciardo back.
Don't have much to add beyond what others said but if you do buy new, do not pay dealer markup. We are in weird times with severely constrained inventory, supply chain issues, inflation, and the like. Hard to say what things look like in the long term if manufacturers and dealers try to...
Thanks. you’re probably right. I am not in my car and can’t remember cold pressures. Whatever it is, it is not unduly low and I still get PSI warnings.
Yea I would just get a JB4, catted downpipe, have Jesse Dabears make a custom JB4 map for you to run an ethanol blend, and leave it there. You will have a very fast, drivable, near 500 whp car that isn’t breaking things or running you out of money.
I guess I had been thinking/hoping very high $80K/low $90K range so $106K to start feels like a lot. Weird proposition to say a Z06 is worth two Stingrays... OTOH dealers near me seem to think a used GT3 is worth $300K. Never thought I'd say this, but we might need a really severe recession...
If it's right that your tires are 18" and 35 profile all around, then your tires may be a bit smaller than OEM, which could be contributing to the scraping. I have H&R but on 255/35/19 and 305/30/19 and I don't scrape anywhere but the steepest driveways. That said, I think you can raise HKS to...
I was looking at the spec sheet and it looks like you need to get the Performance model to get an actual LSD, meaning the Sport comes with an open differential? Can that be right?
Assuming alignment is fine and tire pressures are correct (and tires aren't tramlining), it's the LSD and traction control doing what it's supposed to do.
Do not pay $1,000 for CF mirror caps.
Vehicle protection and warranty are near pure dealer profit. You shouldn't pay for any of this.
$1000 deposit is fine--just make sure it goes to the purchase price.
