  1. Hello

Premium Nitro Yellow in Vegas here - though I had to drive across the whole valley to buy one at MSRP. Does anyone have some good tuner/shop recommendations in the Las Vegas metro area? Not ready for any big changes yet, but as I'm completely unfamiliar with BMW tuning circles...
  2. Active Autowerke | MKV Supra EPA Approved Catted Downpipe

Yeah, I'm thinking if your smog guy is that crazy about digging through the whole engine bay or putting it on a lift to be able to tell the difference... then you need a different smog guy. Preferably one that will ask why you didn't just go test pipes to the street.:p That's probably because...
  3. MKV Supra vs BMW M2 Competition

He mentions he was getting brake fade on the M2 by the last few turns... my guess is that if the brakes were a little more up to the task, the M2 would have still had that .2 sec lead it had through much of the first part. Stock for stock I'd guess it comes down to a nominal weight difference...
  4. Previous Ownership? What did you drive before the Supra?

I can't think of a single reason not to go with either of them... well, I can't justify the cost personally - but they're both incredible cars. I loved my brief time in the Cayman S... but what it took to option it out as well as any Kia comes stock... not so much. I get the whole "staying...
  5. Previous Ownership? What did you drive before the Supra?

So what are you trading the Supra in on next year? :p LOL... I think you've owned more cars in the past decade than I have in the past three! Not that there's a problem with that really, and your choices are all fun ones IMO... but dealing with sales people that often = :puke:
  6. Supra Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 - My trip to Japan

Not that it's a new thought (especially around these parts) but it's absolutely amazing how much aftermarket support the platform has even before it's 1 year anniversary of release... although my wallet is already begging for mercy. Great video!
  7. Gifts & Goodies From TOYOTA & Dealers

Sad it's not in Nitro... but then again it is for the LE, so I guess I'll forgive them. :hmm:
  8. Wings and wheels

It's a hatchback... that's not possible. o_O Were you thinking it was a trunk? @Searchneverend : if you look at the picture full size, you'll notice it isn't (white arrows showing the hatch "split"): @Gearbangin Looks incredible! As do the rest of the mods.
  9. Battery replacement on new LE 2020?

It should start fine. Problem with people not shutting it off properly while it was in the dealership - at least in my case. It triggers when battery is too depleted with low mileage, etc. The dealership can simply re-register the battery as a new one, but it must be at 100% charge for awhile...
  10. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

I think there will be a decent uptick (at least in the US market) after April. Once tax returns are filed and the weather clears up for the rest of the country... I expect more will start disappearing off the lots. Won't hurt any when even more 500HP+ tunes and videos keep filling up YT. Plus...
  11. Do you guys ever get tired of others bashing your A90 Supra? / Tired of the BMW comments?

I just think it's hilarious how the majority of the haters center the criticism around the lack of a 2JZ or "true toyota-ness" of it. It's not worth reminding them, but I often think about the comparison and how (to me at least) it actually holds up very well in that light: 1) Great handling...
  12. Do you guys ever get tired of others bashing your A90 Supra? / Tired of the BMW comments?

Yeah, I'm planning on putting an "M Powered" license plate frame on mine just as a subtle middle finger to the haters... but honestly, I get tons more thumbs up from random people on the street than anything else. I'd expect it from some of the hardcore Toyota fans... but really, that's a bit...
  13. Leaking Transmission Pan Cover

Sadly there were many more produced than are likely in the case of the A90... at least according to wikipedia (~75K in 5 years, with ~55K in the first two). No idea how things will look for the Supra in the coming years... but with just 2,884 sold in the US... I'd figure 2019 numbers are around...
  14. Previous Ownership? What did you drive before the Supra?

Must be great to live in the land of (relatively) inexpensive gas! None of those would be fun to fill up here in California Jr. - and in NY or CA it would almost be like a second payment on them I'd guess. Still I'm sure they were all tons of fun each in their own ways.
  15. Previous Ownership? What did you drive before the Supra?

I'm not normally a fan (to say the least) of American muscle... but man, that Camaro does look beautiful.
  16. What was your out the door price on your Supra?

Same literally... price, color and reason.
  17. Larger Fuel Tank Possible?

Yep. That's about the size I'd like to see in the Supra. That would make 300mi range easy even with a decent amount of spirited driving on the tank... as it is we can barely get to that running on fumes and driving like a senior citizen.
  18. Audio file formats and size comparison (USB & Collection)

Although this information is available in a smattering of BMW posts on a few forums, I thought others might be interested as well. Since our manual is woefully lacking in actual specifications (in noted contrast to the Lexus manuals for my wife's new RX350) I set out to test various common file...
  19. Previous Ownership? What did you drive before the Supra?

Yeah, I read that post as well. I'm not sure what they were smoking on that one... now maybe if the RC had the upcoming 4.0L twin-turbo...
