Simple guide I've been using through the years and decades.. place factory stud through the aftermarket wheel lug bore and see if there is more than 10mm of thread on the other side. Then I'm good. If not, I'll want to get longer studs.
Another thing I watch out for is the shape of the...
I noticed that I can have the AC running in the car while engine off for several minutes and the battery tender remains in float.. This includes the 7min or whatever it takes for the car to shutdown.
So, whatever's draining the battery while parked appears to be something different on my...
Yes normal for dealers to take customer cars out for personal lunches, "test drives" with friends, etc. etc.
This is why dealers usually never see my cars after sale.
Problem with verts for me is that my ugly face just ruins the whole image of the car.. its like you don't walk around with dangling man boobs.. okay that was nasty.
I'd just enjoy the 2.0L for what it is. I bet you can floor the car and enjoy wringing out the engine on the streets more than the 3.0L.. may be do BBK, wheels/tires, springs, you're all set.
First thing I do when I buy a new car is place it on my battery tender when I get home.. it takes about 1-2 days to get to float depending on how depleted the battery was.
I think my Supra took 2 days.
I have my car on the battery tender during the week and during winter.. I don't remember if...
I wanted to blow the horn at this a-hole but remembered how wimpy my Supra sounded so I blew my Hella's in my STI when I got home... scared the crap out of me.
I tried the trunk and hood. Both worked, but BMW.. I mean Toyota.. recommends charging from the hood so I hardwired an umbilical adapter for my Battery Tender JR on the hood side.
Absolutely no issue..and I wire it under the car so it looks clean.
Yeah, its got Stabil in there (in my jerry can) so the gas does not spoil in the tank of my stupid snow thrower. It's really the little amount in the bowl that spoils.
So as long as I run it 5-6min every few weeks, the gas in the bowl gets consumed and replenished with fresh stabilized gas...
Thanks for the reminder. I need to start my snow thrower this weekend.. I've only had to run it once all winter and the gas in the carb bowl fowls if I leave it in there too long..
You folks can have all the snow you need...here take some from us too!
