Mine has no gap.. I installed it myself. This lip took a while to get it to align correctly though.. and used spacers in some of the areas in the back to ensure the gap closes on the front. I suppose one can use some black tape from the bottom to cover up the visible see-through gap.

Nice garage. How big is the space? Any plans on the floor? For me, after washing (can clay/sealant) my daily driver, I put away all detailing liquids into my mudroom in prep for winter.
