I don’t run ppf on my Supra.. mainly because I want to enjoy the car and not save it for the next guy.. That said, my Supra is a garage queen so I don’t drive her much to begin with.. and when I do, surface streets only. My other cars run ppf.

Touching up metallic is not very matching even if one used factory touch up because the flake orientation is different ending up in a different shade. I'm an RC guy so I just mix my own colors using plastic model enamel next to the chip and dab on. In your case I'd place clear tape on the hood...
