I don't think anyone is concerned about adding a little extra oil. People are concerned because there is already at least one instance of someone's cylinder head being messed up. As to calling the meter "Oil Level" I'd assume that engineers would name it appropriately.
The dealership put in 1 qt of oil and now the oil level reads max ( was just above min). They said the oil level meter is based on how hard you drive your car but not sure I believe that. If that was the case why does it say Oil Level: Max/Min instead of Oil Change: Not now/Soon? Anyways, we...
I had the dealership change the oil at 1300 miles. Friday the car was at 4k miles (2700 miles since change) and the oil was at half. Since then I've driven 400 miles and now the oil is down about 1/4 above the min line. Have an appointment Wednesday so we will see how the dealership handles it.
I'm at about half after 2500 miles since the last oil change. Seems about twice as fast as the recommended 10k. Should I have the dealer take a look or keep an eye on it?
To do the log you will need the jb4 app on your phone and connect to your Bluetooth module. There will be a big green button that says start logging. I was told to do a pull in 3rd gear from 2500 to redline and send in the log. Turn on sport mode and turn off traction control.
I noticed something similar when running map 3 too. I plugged in the EWG and it seems a lot smoother. I think I read the EWG wasn't used in map 3 but maybe what they meant was that it wasn't required. Maybe it's all in my head.
I break necks and get thumbs up everywhere I go. Most of the people hating the car online weren't even born when the mk4 supra stopped production but want the nostalgia of a "3jz".....what?
It was a weird getting my galaxy in and out at first but now I guess I have muscle memory and don't even think about it even with a radar detector plugged into the adapter. I also have a case on phone and it gets a little warm but its about the same when I use the wireless charger at my desk.
Just dropped off to get XPEL Stealth on the entire car. Anyone else with XPEL Stealth have issues with the hood? The installer seemed really concerned about fitment. In any case here are my favorite pics so far.
