it was kinda implied. originally we we're only talking about platform. you were the one that throw in the FRS built on real chassis ;)
also what are people's definition of platform. it will vary from person to person. this is what i understand it too be.
we're talking about both chassis and platform (drivetrain and etc.). the FRS concept did not have a drivetrain, it was powered by an electric golf cart motor.
i dont understand why everyone is saying there will be a new concept on the "real platform"? did we ever get a new 86 concept on a "real platform"? most concept cars these days are just bodykits/shells over an existing or modified chassis. then from there the automaker decide which styling cues...
i think it could end up being just a few inches longer than the 86. i like the size and proportion of that car. all you would need to do is add a few extra inches for a larger motor.
i think Motoring was the one that started all the rumors of a hybrid awd Supra?
i would take it with a gain of salt. if im not mistaken, they were also the ones that reported that Toyota would make a sedan, hybrid, and turbo 86.

agreed, you would think they learn their lesson with their poor sales. instead they just "soften" it up a little.
the best looking TL IMO has to be the 2004-2008 models.
