Well it is a fact that building engines has become more precise in general . But the sad truth is that not every manufacturer is reliable even in 2017. I am not talking about adding 50% more hp or even 20% to the engine and expect it not to break , i am talking about engines in stock form that...

the 86 seats are just not for long journeys , otherwise they are decent for a sportscar i would say. For the supra , i have not owned one but i have seen up close the seats and they feel in the same category maybe yeah a little bit more on the uncomfortable side , but still they are backseats...

Many people , and me too , are hoping the bmw engine will be reliable at least stock and handle many years of beating like the 90s supra and many more toyotas. For extreme tuning i think whatever car you pick it is always a bit of a gamble , toyotas less of a gamble sure but still a gamble.

I am pretty sure we can can have both a pretty powerful car n the 400 hp region and also handle well , i don't understand why it will have to be this or the other. Also bmw engines can handle power , not 1000hp but i believe 550-600 is a good amount if you want to tune it with mostly stock parts...

One thing that we have not heard about the 4 cylinder is the price . The earliest report from japanese sources said the car would be about 4 million yen ( 35k $ ) for the 4 cyl and 6 million yen for the 6 cylinder (53k $).

While i agree most cars with 6 cyl have better sound generally, some 4 cylinder cars like silvia s15 have epic sounds from their turbo 4 cyl. Also mazda rx7 with no cylinders and with only 1.3l engine roars incredibly.

I know sadly , this is a big problem with cars imported from america or japan . The import taxation is very high for many countries in eu. But my argument is that the low spec model's price should be close monitored in the eu this time because in essence toyota hasn't found yet its footing here...
