yeah they indeed said they wanted the 86 in the middle many times. That though cannot happen with the place the 86 currently has in the market. If the lower tier car is too slow it will not be a sports car , if the lower car is close to 86 then there is no point in having both cars in lineup. I...
If toyota can make a little sports car that is light , awd or rwd and sell it for under 20k would be very good. Also the 86 2nd gen should be around 260 hp so toyota can cover all bases with sports cars.
the engineers behind the mk4 were perfectly aware of the capabilities of the car , i mean in 1993 a 0-100 in 5 secs was ferrari territory and all that from the factory not with some crazy tune. Also it was relatively light and handled great , so the videos and movies might made the car an era...
heh ok i understand. I hope lexus invests in europe too sometime in the future, the brand is almost non existent here . If they downsize enough i believe people will flock to them because of the reliability , but now with these big thirsty engines it is hard to justify such a purchase here.
@A70TTR have you heard anything lately about a 3 cylinder toyota engine with some good numbers (about 200+ hp) . I have seen magazines saying that a fielder gt four will come with an engine like this.
It is not actually an m3/m4 engine , these engines have the S in their engine codes (S55,S58 etc) . The supra will come with the engine from the m240i which is called B58TU (tu is the tech update bmw is doing as a power facelift of sorts). Now the question in everyones lips is if this B58 engine...
BMW M2 2018 : weight = around 3400 lbs
power = 420 hp
transmission = manual is offered along with aut
price = around 58k+
seats = 2+2
And btw the manual feels as people reviewing it say...
civic does 7:43 while able to fit 4 people just fine , being fwd and developed by 1 company while being relatively cheap for the performance it gives. I mean kudos to honda but that isn't flattering for the z4.
imo even with the 1.8 turbo engine the 200sx is heavenly. It is a fraction faster on paper than the 86 but it feels a lot faster. Also with this engine it is as light as it should be.
@A70TTR The other day when you mentioned the new project you have been working on , i was really curious if it was some upcoming toyota sports car with entry level specs, and generally i am very curious about the three sports cars that mr. Tada is saying from as far as 2013 , have you heard...
I have been curious about the 3 sports cars that toyota wanted to have. If an entry model entered beneath the 86 , that would push the 86 into about 270 hp and closer to 35k -ish . If something like that happens , the 4 cyl supra will probably compete with the 86 ?
By the way when celica and...
Many rumours about different setups (2.4 boxer and more) but nothing concrete even for the continuation of the car. The latest thing i read was a downsized 1.8 liter turbo with about 260hp and even though that is what everybody would want from a 2nd gen who knows?
I hope that we hear something...
