I would buy a car like this in an instant , a 2 liter turbo would do the job saving weight and having good mileage while being torquey. Nissan has one of the best 2 liter turbo engines(VC-T) actually but i doubt they will have a rwd platform to put it :/
I would be more interested if they made a silvia s16 exactly like the last one but modernized , but anyway nissan is not doing anything like the idx or silvia for the years to come, it is sad but it is the reality.
That was the plan for the Z at around 2013 . The Z would get the q60 engine and move a bit upmarket (around 400 hp) but the development halted . The main reason is platform strategy i believe. Generally nissan is strugling with the platforms they can use for rwd , the main reason the Z is axed...
This is the m2 competition's interior , and although i don't find bmw interiors particurarly good looking , this one is not bad . A simple nice interior would do for me.
While i love the type-r and i would prefer to many awd and rwd cars , i still believe it is not a real competitor to the supra , very different setups.
But yeah the new gens of hot hatches are literally missiles with practicality , i even considered the type -r and the leon cupra for my daily...
If the supra is slower in the ring than the type -r , then toyota would have failed hard and i mean very very hard. The type -r never made an impact on the supra and the supra never made an impact to the type -r tho, so the point still stands , they are not direct competitors. The cayman for...
The Type-R competes with the VW golf gti, renault megane rs , hyundai i30 N, peugeot 308 gti and more hot hatches ( there are a lot) , which means fwd missiles with hatches . The supra , Z , mustang are all rwd sports cars ( current gen mustangs and camaros are sports cars , not a typo) . So the...
Yes i feel the same way and agree with what you said. A shame tho that a sports car is killed , even if you don't like it. For example i never liked the 350z/370z ,the rx 8 and the s2000 , not my cup of tea but i didn't like the news about the death of these cars. Generally speaking having...
The next Z was to get a turbo engine (probably q60) but the idea was scrapped , so it was actually going to compete with the supra if it did enter production. On another note even the GTR replacement is a mystery i guess. I am still hoping though nissan leverages the sweet 1.8 turbo alpine engine...
Shame that the Z will die , planning for the z34 had started but it was cancelled , maybe they will pick it up after 2-3 years after current gen is gone like they did with the 350z.
While if they do a second gen , about 250-260 is what the people want and in my opinion would be ideal , the new 2.4 liter subaru engine is difficult to be put into the car . In about 2020 the regulations about emissions and noise are becoming even stricter in most countries , so it is difficult...
Toyota has some engines that could work , if they put some form of forced induction (electric turbo preferably ) on them it would be a game changer. One engine that comes to mind is the new 2 liter dynamic force that is coming inside the new auris, it has 170 hp and about 150 lb torque , if they...

My guess is that 2019 or 2020 with the tokyo olympics we will see a slightly upmarket 86 and maybe a new model below it like the sfr / mrs but at the...
it is an issue i believe because you have that kickback if the engine stops while in gear , so if the cars stops at point A , someone that is in point A+10 cm could be damaged.
I agree with what you said there , and i believe all here at the forum are hoping that the car will be good . I won'y buy it because i need those +2 seats but i truly hope it turns out to be amazing like the last one even if it is quite different.
