Luckily for us, I don't think most carjackers are interested in sports cars, especially not new ones. They want pickup trucks/SUV, older Honda's and Toyota's for parts. That said, if someone pointed a gun at me wanting my Supra, they can have it. I'll just buy another one.

For storage you won't even need 1 AMP. My Battery Tender Jr is 0.75A and it's been working fine on my cars for the last 20+ years with only 2 that went bad after 10+ years use. I currently run 4 of them in my garage including one on my Supra. Going fancy is your choice, but not necessary.

I think it has something more to do with the paint adhesion issue with that red bumper's production lot. Paint is baked and cured and I believe they do the same for plastic parts too at the suppliers.

When I make custom overlays I wrap the part with blue painter's tape to make the template. It's really not difficult to do. If it is, then it will also be a challenge to wrap the piece so I'd watch out for that.
