I installed my JB4, paired BT with my iPhone, and it worked without a hitch from day one.
This is the first time hearing about concerns of it 'frying' my ECU.. I mean I've been a long time JB user and no issue on my other cars either. It's very straight forward, no fuss.
I was more...
BA9092 - Yeah, my buddy had a lowered GTI (Mk7) and it was one awful ride when there was 3-4 of us in the car. It just hits the bump stops SO HARD over dips and bumps sounded like the frame was going to break at the welds.
My stock ride height Mk7 Golf-R rides about 10-12mm lower than a stock...
I've lowered many cars in my youth and while they do look cool, these days I prefer to compromise wheel gap vs ride quality. Especially on cars where the gap is even around the entire arch, it doesn't bother me any more and just leave it stock. I have some pretty big dips and bumps in my area...
I too do clearbra installs and detail my own cars for hobby and been doing this for a very long time..
If one was going to do clearbra on their Supra's, I suggest going to a place that does custom installation using a roll, not a pre-cut because the edges are pretty ugly. Edges can...
You're welcome. I'm an avid Cobb AccessPort user so I have nothing against reflashes just as long as I can do it on my own at home since I only drive my cars on the street, no hardcore racing (no need for custom tunes).
I've had great experience with JB1/JB4 on my past Euro cars so it just...
Sorry to hear about this, TireRack should've done more research before suggesting at their URL.
Just FYI, offset alone does not signify it will clear big calipers. It's really the backspacing (shape of the back of the spokes) that determine it. This is why some folks that do dressup-only...
I also had to find a through hole when I wired up my JB4 on my 2020 Premium.
Above your dead pedal look for this L shaped (maybe it was a rectangle, don't remember) emboss inside the red dotted line. Then you will see a round plug you can push in (yellow arrow shows hole) right under it...
It's basically invisible until I step on the throttle beyond a certain threshold when JB4 kicks in. It’s very smooth and so far I have not noticed any negatives besides tires not sticking very well with the added power.. but that is more me needing to adjust how I apply throttle.
Install was...
Bretts - Any accumulation of snow will be dangerous with SuperSports, but if it's a dry day you'll be fine driving the car home. Just don't go crazy on the throttle.
When I wash my car with a hose (very rare), I only use car shampoo and water for the wheels. I've tried wheel cleaners, etc I don't trust them as they are pretty harsh.
And some require you to wait a bit while it changes color and all the fancy.. do that in real world on a hot summer day...
Have you tried waterless wash? I rarely wash my cars with a hose these days unless it's filthy dirty with road salt.
I use Griot's SprayOn Carwash and it's a great way to clean your car inside your garage or where ever you don't have access to a water hose (or during water restriction). Just...
