I've always heel/toed since I've always autocrossed/tracked manuals and used my left foot for clutch operation. I haven't tracked my Supra yet since I only got it in October.
Yup! We have peak torque at 1600 RPM so if you just mash the throttle the tires will lose traction quickly.
Pretend if there's strings going from your steering wheel to your throttle pedal. As you turn the wheel, it pulls the throttle pedal up. As you straighten out, the pedal goes down.

At slow speeds, tires. At higher speeds, aero.
As you increase torque, tires will have a harder time hooking up. So you have to get stickier tires, wider tires, run less psi, or a combination thereof. All of which reduce treadwear significantly.
Another part of it is how you apply throttle. If...
No supposedly it's getting the 2.4 liter FA engine from the Ascent. I think they're going to bore/stroke it to 2.5 liters myself, and hopefully strap on a decent twin scroll. Gonna be sad if they don't put unequal length headers on it though. Gotta have the rumble.

A red pinstripe on the aero pieces to match the calipers would look better.
Or a highlighter pinstripe and repaint the calipers to...
Until it is a problem and you find your car the next day with a flat tire because the rubber has torn lol. They make those recommendations for a reason.
