  1. Let’s Talk Traction

I've always heel/toed since I've always autocrossed/tracked manuals and used my left foot for clutch operation. I haven't tracked my Supra yet since I only got it in October.
  2. Let’s Talk Traction

Yup! We have peak torque at 1600 RPM so if you just mash the throttle the tires will lose traction quickly. Pretend if there's strings going from your steering wheel to your throttle pedal. As you turn the wheel, it pulls the throttle pedal up. As you straighten out, the pedal goes down. A...
  3. Let’s Talk Traction

At slow speeds, tires. At higher speeds, aero. As you increase torque, tires will have a harder time hooking up. So you have to get stickier tires, wider tires, run less psi, or a combination thereof. All of which reduce treadwear significantly. Another part of it is how you apply throttle. If...
  4. Jonesxlv's Nocturnal A91 Project Journal

Early June still can't be tuned. Mine is 6/6 and locked.
  5. Is 50F too cold for the Michelin summer tire?

No supposedly it's getting the 2.4 liter FA engine from the Ascent. I think they're going to bore/stroke it to 2.5 liters myself, and hopefully strap on a decent twin scroll. Gonna be sad if they don't put unequal length headers on it though. Gotta have the rumble.
  6. Anyone having problems with the 2020 Supra start/stop feature?

Should've never come with it to begin with.
  7. 2022 Model Year Toyota GR Supra

It does, it's right there on your fob.
  8. 2021 Supra 2.0 as a daily? Rainy Conditions?

Because they're not going to make separate cars for the press to drive for each and every country. They ship them wherever they're needed.
  9. 2021 Supra 2.0 as a daily? Rainy Conditions?

Lol no. Those things are planned well in advance.
  10. Is 50F too cold for the Michelin summer tire?

100% this. Drivetrain layout doesn't matter. Tires do. A FWD or RWD on winter tires will easily outperform an AWD or 4x4 on summers.
  11. What fuel do you use?

Exactly. It's the dumbest thing ever. 50k+ U.S to buy and then worry about gas cost. Put in what it requires or buy a Corolla that runs on 87 just fine.
  12. A91 & Recent 2021 Impossible to Tune / ECU manufactured after 2020/6 is locked? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Depends on what you think LE stands for. Launch Edition, or Limited Edition. If you go by Limited Edition, the A91 is an LE. As is the Launch Edition obviously.
  13. New 2020 Supra needs a home

That's a great deal. Tungsten is probably the least desirable color. But for that price you should get a buyer.
  14. A91 Refraction Blue with Lime Green Wrap

It's a Type R, but it would look kinda like this.
  15. A91 Refraction Blue with Lime Green Wrap

Nope. I think it'll look bad. Too much going on. Blue body, highlighter bottom, red brakes, flat black wheels and stripes, carbon mirrors and roof, It's too much. A red pinstripe on the aero pieces to match the calipers would look better. Or a highlighter pinstripe and repaint the calipers to...
  16. 2021 Toyota Supra Reviews Compilation

Look at #11. Why was the 2020 3 seconds slower? Did it rain that day or something? I love my A91, but I doubt it's 3 seconds a lap faster.
  17. It’s official!!! New a91 owner here

Normal. Don't fall into the interwebz crybaby trap.
  18. Is 50F too cold for the Michelin summer tire?

Until it is a problem and you find your car the next day with a flat tire because the rubber has torn lol. They make those recommendations for a reason.
