Do a 255/40/19. That's closer to OEM circumference (275/35/19) and it gives you a little more sidewall so the tire is less stretched on the wheel. And for winter more sidewall is always good.
That's still a sizeable gap. BRZ/86 are mid to high 20's, maybe low 30's for a fully loaded one.
And you have the "no manual" turdmuffins running around.
I disagree. They were priced VERY well at MSRP. You get a ton of performance, styling, and quality for the money. The BMW equivalent is at least $10k more, the Audi equivalent $15k more, and the Porsche equivalent $35k more.
Those were pre production models. There are plenty of articles online saying the U.S. spec 2.0 got a mechanical diff. Guff could've had a Euro or Canadian spec car without it.
I love the Type R, but not as a replacement to the Supra. It would be a stable mate. It's a phenomenal car and I applaud Honda on the aggressive styling. Something Subaru with it's current "Camry with a wing STI" can learn from. As well as other companies.
But the R and Supra have NOTHING in...
The Z4 is 60 lbs heavier than the Supra, and it has a soft top instead of a solid roof. So I'm sure the Z4 has a fair bit of bracing under the car to increase rigidity.
The Z4 is also not performance oriented. That car is squarely aimed at mid-life crisis men that don't want a Boxster lol.
They could've left the mk4 wing off imo. Other than that it looks good.
Making a targa involves a lot more than just chopping the roof. It's structurally integral to the car. So it would need a lot of extra bracing underneath to compensate, adding weight and losing performance.
And I'm sure...
Yeah I think they don't want people putting the negative straight to the battery. That'll mess shit up. I always put the negative to a chassis bolt. That way the circuit goes through the car.
Yeah I know, but I don't want a loose hanging quick disconnect in my engine bay while I'm driving all year. You can hook up the quick disconnect in the trunk. There's a stud on the positive terminal for accessories like a tender. And you connect the negative to a chassis bolt just like you would...
Yeah I read a bunch of posts on several BMW forums before I hooked it up. Some say you can't, others say it's fine. I haven't found anything official from BMW that say you can't, or shouldn't. So I'm assuming it's fine.
Edit: read a few more BMW forums, it said it's fine to charge from the...
