Mine has never changed. I did a hard break-in, as I do all my cars. I changed my oil around the 900 mile mark and put in 5W-30. I'm at about 2000 now. Still max.
So what's the difference between pushing a sequential shifter forwards and backwards, or the ZF8 stick in the center dash forwards and backwards? It's the same thing lol.
My next car will most likely be a Cayman GT4, and when I spec it, it will 100% have a PDK. Because I have no interest in buying an amazing performance car, and making it worse by making it slower.
I've rowed 13 speed transmissions for most of my career, raced many manual cars on tracks and autocross, the whole "engagement" thing is a bunch of bullshit. There's no difference between pulling a lever back, to pulling a paddle, (except that it's slower) and you can even use the center stick...
Minivans and SUV's and the like, have autos because their drivers don't want to shift. They use their vehicle to haul kids and groceries from point A to point B. It's a necessity. And they don't want to do anything more than they have to in order to get to point B.
Sports cars, virtually all...
I do it this way, I leave my garage, drive easy till I get to the interstate on ramp, by that time the car is fully warmed up, on the on ramp I run through the first 4 or 5 gears, not WOT but enough to get a good load on the engine, then I cruise to the first exit, and use engine braking going...
Lol yeah because that's how it works ?
2020 engines can't go in a 2021 car and vice versa. They have different ECU's with different maps, different parameters, etc.
Mercedes is better, no denying that. It would just be nice if they made a set of rules, and stuck to them. Tire rules, track limit rules, bodywork rules, you name it. A car that's legal in March, should still be legal in June. The whole track has a white line around the edge. Over with 4 wheels...
Because FIA rulings always happen in Mercedes' favor. Ferrari got too close, neuter their engine. Change the tires. Mercedes introduced DAS even though the rules say you can't change the suspension geometry? Allowed. Red Bull's car passed FIA regulations, but they'll change them mid season and...
Yeah they'd obviously have to modify it to make it road legal everywhere, which sadly means adding weight, but it could be fantastic. An Elise/Exige badged as an MR2. Yes please.
