Formula One is a whole other animal. Indycar are Civics compared to F1. Americans in general just can't compete with drivers from the rest of the world. Before you say Mario Andretti, he was born Italian. Guys like Scott Speed, Alexander Rossi, were all getting the same hype, and got nowhere in...
Yup. Just roll onto the throttle. Peak torque starts at a low RPM so you get a lot of power early on and as it overwhelms the tires, the diff locks, and the ass starts hanging out. Easiest way to avoid it is driving light footed. But it's a lot of fun to play with it. The car is very predictable...
The MR2 was never an option because that was Lotus' thing with the Elise/Exige. But now that those are stopping production, we could see an MR2 return. It already had Toyota engines, and manuals so nothing for the cry babies to whine about
I would be very interested in one.
AWE Resonated Touring on mine. Sounds incredible. Beautiful rolled black tips rather than the ugly cut thin walled tips you get on most.
Sound is tasteful, quality. Never obnoxious, no drone. No childish gunshots every time you let off the throttle, just nice crackles. Love it.
And? Every car on this forum is "custom" in one way or another. Stock it's slower too.
Anything else? How about a flat 6 instead. Would you like me to add a few flat 6 Porsche's that are quicker stock?
Your dealer is kind of right. But not quite. You can sit in it just fine, but the car "powers up" anticipating a start. You do that a bunch of times without actually starting it, it will drain the battery. The car "powers down" one of two ways. By locking the doors, or holding the power button...
The "factory alignment" thing with Corvettes is absolutely true. I don't know about the C8, but previous models got delivered with positive camber to induce understeer. It's for safety reasons. They rather have you crashing and hitting something straight on, than spinning out of control with...
The stickier a tire, the softer the compound, the less miles you get out of them. Just the nature of the beast. All part of owning a performance vehicle. You can help it a little by increasing tire pressure, driving like a grandma, and so on, but that kinda defeats the purpose. Look into...
Yeah in the heat of the moment it seems like Bottas squeezed him, but that's just how the track goes because of the kink. But Bottas shouldn't have been there in that car in the first place. Battling with a Williams. It's ridiculous. The best car vs the second worst car.
Looking back at the replays, Bottas did nothing wrong. He stayed on the racing line the whole time and left room for Russell, who just went too wide and clipped the grass. 100% Russell's fault.
Bottas saw Russell coming, saw his career at Mercedes flash before his eyes, and squeezed ever so slightly. Russell put a tire on the wet grass, instant spin.
What mode is your transmission in? Normal or sport? Are you full on the gas pedal, or off of it? The computer calculates all kinds of parameters to find the best way to shift, even though you manually ask it to. If you're WOT in sport, it'll bang through the gears in a fraction of a second. If...
