Tyson's is where I went, and I think you're right. In fairness, I think the sales guy I was dealing with wanted to do better on price but the sales manager came over and squashed the process with the whole "high demand, low volume" mumbo jumbo. Definitely took money out of his sales guy's pockets.
I had the same experience. The dealer closest to me, Koons Toyota, gave me the same line: "this is a high demand low volume vehicle. The best we can do is MSRP" (mind you, they had 3-4 3.0s and an A91 (which had a markup:thumbsdown:) sitting on their lot). I warned them I was ready to buy that...
South out of Clifton VA:
Manassas to The Plains is also a nice drive:
Marshall, VA north to Atoka is also good:
Finally, The Plains north up to Middleburg is great:
I don't want to keep it stock, but the locked ECU is tying my hands. Performance mods don't make so much sense if the car can't be re-tuned. On the plus side, I suppose it's saved me a few thousand dollars ?
As a former 350Z owner, to me, the best thing about the 400Z is that it's using a turbo again. I always felt the biggest drawback of the 350Z and its successors was the VQ35/37 engine. I know it's won awards but it was pretty much impossible to tune. Bolt-ons did zip, but adding a turbo...
Any chance you changed your case? My wife has a thick Otterbox case on her 12, and it doesn't charge on our other car's pad either, while my slim case charges just fine. I'm guessing you've already considered this, but wanted to ask anyway.
On the plus side, seems like almost all of the HP/torque gains come from replacing the downpipe, so there isn't much need to replace the exhaust from the cat back
Cool. i guess what I don’t understand is whether Carbahn has a JB4-type piggyback solution or if they can actually unlock the ECU. I’m not an expert but it seems like there’s a big difference between the two.
Purchased in early 4Q 2020 and I have 1100 miles thus far, all pleasure driving and the occasional errand. I would drive it to the office if WFH ever ends...
Apex might work. I am not sure if they have a Supra fitment yet but they are popular in the BMW and Camaro communities. I'm thinking of their ARC-8 wheel.
I will try to check at some point. I can promise you I disabled it (or at least disabled its ability to take over the steering wheel) and my car is completely stock. It is 32 degrees here so I am not exactly tripping over myself to go to a cold car and figure this out lol
I turned lane assist off permanently a few weeks after I got mine. It is very aggressive and abrupt on the Supra compared to our Audi. I didn't have a close call but it was very disconcerting when it engages. I could easily foresee a situation like nearly hitting a bicyclist because I can't...
The question to me whether and when they can schedule a make-up. The calendar is so full that the next opportunity to do an Australian round may be pretty late in the year. That assumes no other schedule changes...
Any recommendations? Route 234 from Manassas to The Plains is good, as is Route 626 from The Plains up to Middleburg. Wondering what else is within driving distance of NoVA...
