Here’s an update: I am speaking to Jay Bafaev at Eurolabs on Monday to scope this out. Keep you all posted but feel free to reach out independently if you want.
I was referred to him by RRT, which is a high end BMW tuner here in VA. His website is https://eurolabpro.com/ and email is...
Max probably would've had the fastest time in FP1 but for the last sector on his fastest lap, but Red Bull seemed a bit off the pace in FP2 but obviously a lot of unknowns.
A couple of follow-up questions:
1) Can we re-use our the TPMS on our stock wheels with the new wheels? I think so but wanted to confirm.
2) It looks like the group buy locks on 5/18. When we would expect to receive our wheels? Early/mid June?
Thanks!
Yes, you can. The stock 255/35 can be run on wheel widths 8.5-10", while the 275/35 can be run on 9-11". I think the rear will look a bit stretched out on a 10.5" like sangeof said. I don't agree that the stock tires are bad--just a compromise between dry traction, wet traction, treadwear...
I am in the same boat. I have a locked 2021 with a catted downpipe. I thought seriously about a JB4 but I have not seen any clean dyno charts showing what to expect in terms of gains from each map. I have seen the charts for the 2020 Z4, which seems the most analogous to a 2021, but I don't...
I would just powdercoat the stock wheels, I think. Losing a half-inch of wheel width would be negative from a performance standpoint. And the stock wheels do look spectacular in .... any color other than stock. ?
Yeah, it's a total headscratcher. :dunno: It does not seem hard to have something available after 2 years' time. There must be some intentional decision not to have come out with something after all this time.
That said, I have been toying with the idea of a custom exhaust using their RS-Ti...
I'm sure Liberty would love it and it would raise the sport's profile a bit in the US (though Drive to Survive has surely helped a lot). I'd love to see it too. Herta seems way too talented for Indycar but what gain is there in putting him in a not-too-competitive Haas, even if they are the...
I went with these too. They are very effective; buffeting is gone and wind noise is reduced dramatically. They are hardly noticeable and pretty much look like OEM equipment. I feel like I can actually drive with the windows cracked or down. For $9, you cannot beat these, especially when vendors...
I have nothing bad about BC for other platforms but just wanted to call out that with most A90 coilover systems, you lose the stock comfort/sport adjustability.
I also endorse these. Installed these earlier in the week and they work really well. They pretty much blend in with the car (they look OEM) and the buffeting is gone. I can actually drive the car with the windows cracked or down. Best $9 I've spent and so happy to dodge the Supra Tax. Can't...
My vote is for a Cup2. The R888R's are a track tire: not safe in the rain and loud. I'd suggest the Supercar 3R but I still don't think they are appropriate for a daily driver. I hear good things about the NT05 but no experience with them.
Active Autowerke and I think CG Precision guarantee no CEL. I have Active Autowerke and no issues, no smell, no CEL. I am not an expert but it is a function of what kind of cat is being used. The 400 cell GESi cat in the AA seems not to throw a CEL, but the 200 cell ones, which I think is...
2021 3.0 Premium with 2200 miles or so in 6 months. Honestly, the only unreliable aspect of the car has been Apple CarPlay. Otherwise, nary an issue.
I really do think oil consumption concerns are coming from an extremely vocal but extremely small subset of owners.
