Since my goal is to enjoy a few HPDEs here and there, I'll share... About a year after I bought my car, I did the Toyota GR Track Day + a full HPDE the next day. Afterwards, I added a catted downpipe then ended up skipping all of 2025. So far this year, after swapping to a "better" brake...

Got it installed...easy peasy!

I'm too much of a curmudgeon...gonna chalk it up to a "rite of passage" thing. I guess the silver lining is that a Ti backing plate might be stuck to whichever piston I couldn't remove the adhesive from and I won't have to worry about lining up the next pad.

Went to town with a 1.5" putty knife and Goo Gone once I finally got the front pads out. Ti backing plates installed in time for NASA Hedge Hollow this weekend. Adding my arthritic middle finger to all the previous middle fingers that went out to all those involved in the decision to slap...

When I had my M235i, I misplaced so many of those damn bolts and pop rivets, I think I ended up buying them in bulk from FCP Euro. Changing the oil on that thing required removal of the undercarriage tray every time. I was too stubborn to just cut a damn hole in it cuz of resale paranoia.

Scratching itches multiple ways is always good for the soul. Hope you have a hoot flingin the Bimmer around the track!

Damn work schedules! My buddy and are hoping to hit Hedge Hollow next month...that's gonna hurt the CC/bank account for sure. But it'll finally give me reason to get rid of the MPSSes!

LOL, both "not-straights." I think it was only during the last two sessions where I managed the least amount of steering correction on the pit "straight" after initial turn-in and get a sense for modulating the throttle to keep it smooth through the apexes. Turn 1 will always be a pucker...

OIR was amazing...loved how much every damn corner and not-straight straight was a pain in the ass. Definitely want to go back.

Fugg...I should have checked this thread again after jacking up the car and getting all the wheels off. Oh well...it's a single novice HPDE day on a track that kinda scares me, but at least I have brand new brake fluid and what's gotta be 99% pad left. Man, I must've been slow AF at my last...
